  1. Another thumbs up  for the conti 3's from me, I ran them on my 123d coupe for 10k before i sold it and they are by far the best tyre i have had on a car.

They even impressed on several laps of the ring in crazy heat. I have over 10 years racing experience so i'm very picky with tyres :)

  2. I agree with them looking like they have been done on an SLS machine, material looks like Duraform PA built at .15mm layer thickness, build orientation was not ideal for the shape of the part by the look of it.

The material should be fine for a key casing, as long as it has surface protection like paint or lacquer, (rtbiscuit's carbon dipping would be cool too!) as this material will get dirty easily and absorb moisture.

If any body wants info on Rapid prototyping / layer manufacturing let me know :teeth:

  3. Evening all :) , i wonder if anybody could advise on what level of service my car needs?

    I purchased my 2004 plate Z mid september last year and it had only covered 33K, it did not have full service history but after weighing up what it did have i happily bought the car knowing that it had more services than most other cars i have owned due to the mileage, service history as follows;

    January 2004 : car registered.

January 2005 : 3095 miles : P1 Service at Wilsons nissan Epson, stamp in book,

January 2006 : 5701 miles : P2 Service at Wilsons nissan Epson, stamp in book,

January 2007 : Service missed or no info

January 2008 : 16500 miles : P2 service at Wilsons nissan Epson, engine oil and brake fluid, stamp in book and receipt

January 2009 : Service missed or no info

January 2010 : 26000 miles : P3 service at Wilsons nissan Epsom, gearbox & engine oil, air filter. stamp in book and receipt

August 2011 : full vehicle safety check and inspection before i purchased the car from a performance car specialist. (Probably worth nothing really!)

I want to give my car a service and was thinking of getting oil / filter and brake fluid doing at a garage then doing plugs, air filter, brake pads and maybe the auxilary belts in the summer myself, can anybody else recommend anything else i should consider or is that enough?

    Cheers,

    Shawn

  4. I have a supurb guy in milton keynes who changed my 22" rims without a scratch and didnt break a sweat. He has been doing it for the past 15 years.

Even better is that he charges £10 a wheel, which includes changed and balanced.

May i ask who you use? I have not long moved to MK and will be needing a tyre man in the near future
