  1. These sound good - do they definately fit UK Rays wheels? By torque setting I just meant come with a specified torque value on the pack to indicate what to do them up to (and not damage the nuts - like some garage monkey did with my OEM ones) Anyone got aftermarket lugs fitted to UK Rays? I've seen a lot of places (like Evasive Motorsport) with disclaimers saying do not fit to standard wheels.
  2. Sorry - yeah 'threaded' as in the threads no longer grip the bolt/stud as they the nut threads are damaged.
  3. Hi all, After replacing my wheel nuts after finding at least 3 that are threaded. Not decided on whether to replace locking ones too, but my locking ones are OK atm. For a UK GT with 18" Rays, no spacers. Suggestions / recommendations please? My wants (in order of importance): 1) High quality - must have torque settings. 2) Not chrome, either matte / satin silver or coloured 3) Choice of colours - specifically gold, orange or dark silver/anthracite/carbon. 4) Light weight would be nice Links and/or prices would be handy too! Thanks in advance! Toby.
  4. Should have said: £119, full day, 5 sessions Full details on link below http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/event-details.aspx?productid=973&calType=noviceonly And yeah, wearing out tyres is a risk we'll all be sharing.
  5. Just booked this with a few non-Z mates. Novice Only day and my first time on a track in any car. Anyone else going or tempted?
  6. OK progress: Clay bar is moving it, but sooo slowly. Got some good arm muscles now though. Took almost an hour to do one (minorly affected) spoke. Gonna get some Bilberry as RT suggested and try that first. Another thought - are all clay bars equal - ie. is it like snadpaper and there are different grades of clay. It's Autoglym I have. Any other tips that might speed it up - less lube, more pressure applied whilst doing it...? Thanks again all! Toby.
  7. know i'm late, but is the spacer sold? thanks T
  8. thanks for all the replies! i'm running at 35psi all round, have also tried 34 but makes little difference. car has recently been 4-wheel aligned and they were aware of camber kit so should have adjusted it. have the scans somewhere if this would aid diagnosis... rear in spec, front slightty out (as no front adustabble a arms). anything i can try myself - other than taking it for another alignment? any good tests for worn shocks? sry if newbie question! i guess i was hoping someone local could take me for a spin in their Z so i could feel if it's different... tbh, i'm now thinking of fitting some BC Racing coilovers - but this is a bit scattergun as will replace shocks & dampers. She does handle nice on smooth roads , just horrible on any rough ones!
  9. Help greatly appreciated here please people! Newish Z owner, still getting used to car - but loving every minute! Thing is: My suspension seems overly harsh, can feel every bit of worn tarmac, seam, etc on motorways and main roads & worse yet as i live in the sticks (Norfolk) going even at legal speeds on country B roads that are uneven makes me feel that the car is almost trying to bounce right off the road! 04 UK GT, Eiback springs & rear camber kit, stock dampers (as far as i know), has been aligned (full 4-wheel), 18" rays and RE050A DZs all round (correct size & spec). Car's done 30k miles. Although I'm new to the Z i had a mk4 Golf with H&R springs and highspec VW shocks at about a 35mm drop and it was well softer (but still much firmer than stock) and handled beautifully - could really hammer down B roads round here. Now i kno the Z is a whole different beast, but: Should i be feeling this??? Anyone got any ideas? springs too hard? Knackered shocks? knackered bushes (do have what sounds like a squeak from driver's rear)? it's been polybushed and i don't know? i'm just being a wuss? I've read some say on here that oem shocks are a bit hard for uk roads... i can't afford coilies and was thinking about some Tein H-Tech maybe (assuming the springs are my problem). Not too worried about stance - though she does look good with the Eibachs, just comfort mainly, will track occassionally one day, but not serously. anyone local offer me a ride in their car on oem, eibachs or different aftermarket setup - so i can compare please? thanks in advance! Toby

  11. Thanks for all the responses. Feel slightly different to rest of wheel surface when finger ran over it. Finger doesn't get dirty and gently rubbing with edge of finger nail doesn't shift it. To be honest it kinda looks like brake dust, only (unlike the rest) it didn't wash off. Maybe it's reacted with something that sprayed up the wheel and baked on / into the finish (hence my thoughts about coolant or urine). Will get some fo what RT says and give it a go myself. Don't ideally want to have this one refurbed as it's in good nick, unlike the other front - thanks clumsy tire fitters!
  12. Spoke to R35LEE as recommended, he confirmed indeed there is no panel that goes there. Guess it's just a feature! Thanks all.
  13. Hi all, Cleaned by Z for first time since buying her yesterday and used some wheel mitts to get the Rays super clean. 3 are excellent but the passenger front appears to have either stains or damage on it. looks like something has been sprayed or dribbled down it leaving numerour streaky marks - which won't come off! Not sure what this can be but car recently overheated a bit (fast radiator fan failed and coolant boiled over) and this was replaced and coolant changed by garage i bought car from. Could the coolant boiling over (or garage) have caused the wheel damage??? Only other thing I can think it might be is cat or dog urine?? Any help massively appreciated - either on cause or cure! Might be able to take it back to garage that did the radiator fan work if there's a belief it was them. Thanks, Toby
  14. Rather late bump for more info... Garage I bought car from are happy to purcahse part from Nissan for me, but they/we can't figure out which part I need. Does anyone have a part number for me please?? Have looked at Nissan parts diagrams online but they are impossible to fathom (and I thought the VW ones were bad previously)!
  15. thanks guys. think there's more to it than volume sadly - i reckon it's a phone operating system issue - hopefully Microsoft will fix via patch soon! will try phone nearer dongle and let you all know. cheers, Toby
  16. Hi all, Recently bought a 04 UK GT and loving it, even the Bose seems OK to me (though tape deck a little retro)! Only issue - Bluetooth integration with my brand new HTC 7Pro phone. Pairs with car just fine. Can connect and disconnect the pairing form phone - as expected. Can make make phone dial out but - often (almost always) doesn't transfer sound to car. Is still paired and 'connected' but no sound from car. Sound on phone handset itself fine. Can hang up, redial, etc - same problem. When call in progress the 'Bluetooth' screen button on phone is not selectable (greyed out) so can't 'force' sound back to bluetooth. Now, I played around a bit (as I work in IT so how hard could it be to figure out) and found: If phone was just paired with car when beep sounds as ignition first turned on and diplay says "PHONE" (like the first time I set it up following instructions) - works fine and [phone shows little bluetooth icon at very top of screen]. If car ignition has been turned off (or phone taken out of range) since - make call, no sound. [no icon on phone screen] If phone/car paired previously and come back to car, turn ignition, problems again. [no icon] Only workaround seems to be: Everytime get in car delete previous pairing on phone. turn ignition to first click. beep from car. pair phone. [icon appears on phone screen] - all fine. Now, this is OK for a long journey, but is a PITA for day to day lige. Now I know WinPhone7 is still very new, seems to have vastly cut down BT controls (along with lots of other things being simplified), etc. On my old phone running Windows Mobile 6.5 I had a little app called BTtoggle which effectevely 'forced' or toggled or switched the sound on the phone between internal phone speakers/mic and a paired bluetooth headset. Have searched for similar app for WinPhone7 but can't find one. Searched on here and some other forums - no joy. Googled lots, loads of people complaining about general bluetooth problems with WinPhone7 (especially people with Saumsungs) - call / sound qaulity, etc and some even about integration with car kits but nothing exactly like my problems. Might ask around at work and see if anyone else has a different WinPhone7 phone I can try in my Z, but don't know of anyone of the top of my head... Anyopne else got his/her another Windows Phone 7 based phone? Do you have the same problems as me with the Bluetooth on the Bose? Thanks a lot! Toby /rantover - that's a lot of words, hope it makes sense.

  18. Thanks guys (and d@mn fast answers)! Much as I expected - previous owner really lowered Nismo stickers and was too tight to buy Nismo parts! Cheers, Toby.
  19. Yeah as I suspected - guess it was too much to hope for as a free (well dealer who sold it didn't know mod)! Least I got some other stuff thrown in (see other posts). Thanks for susper-speedy answers guys! Cheers, Toby
  20. Hi all, Very recently bought my first Z, garage i got it from clearly didn't know much so now I'm trying to find out what mods I have or don't have... Nismo rear spolier? Says Nismo. Looks like a Nismo V1 one but without the bootm piece. Anyone got any ideas? Appreciate the Nismo logo may just be a sticker added later! Please - If anyone can shed any light that'd be brilliant! Thanks, Toby
  21. Hi all, Very recently bought my first Z, garage i got it from clearly didn't know much so now I'm trying to find out what mods I have or don't have... Strur bar has a Nismo logo, but is it just OEM and sticker for show? Please - If anyone can shed any light that'd be brilliant! Thanks, Toby
  22. Hi all, Very recently bought my first Z, garage i got it from clearly didn't know much so now I'm trying to find out what mods I have or don't have... It looks like I might be missing a trim piece / panel here - if so, anyone know the part number(s) please? Please - If anyone can shed any light that'd be brilliant! Thanks, Toby
  23. Hi all, Very recently bought my first Z, garage i got it from clearly didn't know much so now I'm trying to find out what mods I have or don't have... Eibach Pro Springs & Rear Camber Kit? Car is definately lowered from stock and looking through rear wheel I can see black springs with Eibach logo. Had a look on some parts sites and have only found Pro Kit (~30mm) drop listed. Also looked on CS and saw the Eiback rear camber kit which looks a bit like the one in my pic... Please - If anyone can shed any light or confirm that'd be brilliant! Thanks, Toby
