  1. Like the idea of a ECU remap rather tham the SLD. Anyone have idea of outlay ££££ and location of good centres north of Perth. The closer to Dundee the better. Anyone actually done the UK Spec to JDM Brembo conversion all round?
  2. Thanks for the warm and pleasant welcome! A little bit about me...... i am a happy 45 male, my zed is my pride and joy; just a bog standard off-the -shelf grey import - no leather, no brembos, no nismos (well apart from the gear knob which I changed coz it must have been driven by a japlady that wore loads of rings on her finger given the scratches to the alloy), but pleasurable all the same. I tend to just use it in the summer and like driving in the country round about where i stay; some fantastic wee roads through the glens up here in Scotland. I would say I am reasonably competent when it comes to mechanics and i must say the z is a pleasure to work on compared to the Audi I have it is aright pain as no matter what you want to do you seem to have to set aside a day and have a blanket on the ready to hold the numerous parts you have to dismantle to do the easiest of tasks. Not that I have done anything major to the zed but from what I have done I can see there is still some resemblance to the older style datsuns which i had a few of in the past and spent many an hour outside in the street in the pissing rain under bonnets and jacks hoping they would not disintegrate upon me. Things are better now i have a garage 9albeit full of crap) and a driveway. There a few things I want to do to the car - my Santa list: 1.Brembos as not having has always annoyed me as the jap one's are darned ugly! + thought it best if i want bigger wheels. 2.New (or used preferably) set of 19" wheels and nice low tyres tyres, as the ones that are on are Rays with winter tyres on9a bit spongy at the best of times) Wheels are superb condition though. 3.HKS SLD at the right price - as I only discovered that it was restricted while racing an RS A3 and when I reached 120 he was gone and I thought I had blown a piston! and that's about it for the noo! Thanks again and would appreciate any help on the above.
  3. I have a standard Z33 05 plate fairlady Z import with standard JDM callipers and discs. Does anyone know if the UK brembos from same age car fit straight onto the import or is there a lot of modifications to be done? This is my first post so excuse the none techyness of my post.
