  1. The VIN Plate is missing and stamped number been tampered with .... however upon a bit of digging i found 2 pol exam sticker and have validated the history with the relevant police force that had examined it originally.

They advised if the manufacturer cannot supply an OEM VIN Plate for an import then apply a commercially available plate.

  2. None on eBay :(

Nissan parts departments are looking into it. Apparently if it was a UK car they could do it but don't know about a Japanese import so are looking into it :(

Anyoen got any other ideas as I need to get this sorted pronto.

  3. Hello, The VIN plate on my firewall (i have a 52 plate Fairlady) had been altered when it was briefly stolen in 2007 (The last digit was changed).

Does anyone know how I go about getting a replacement VIN plate to tidy loose ends up?

Also is the VIN plate anywhere else apart from the firewall on a Japanese car?

    Thanks - Tim.

  4. Well first track that made an impression was "Swords of Ten Thousand Men" by Tenpole Tudor ... progressed on to "Stealin" by Uriah Heap (still one of my fave tracks ever) .... onto anything by Motorhead (love the early stuff) and then back to Hawkwind (Spirit of the Age will always be in my top 5 tracks) ... Creedence Clearwater Revival, Lynrd Skynrd, Bad Company, Zep ....

Well you get the gist ... most modern I get is Metallica, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam ... :band:

  5. Big thanks to Jez @ Horsham Dev for fitting the Berks HFCs (belated thanks to Tarmac Sportz for a cracking late deal), Plenum Spacer and earthing kit today and topping it all off with a remap and Charlie @ Surrey Rolling Road as well. Despite doing everything they could 300bhp was just out of reach ... but happy with 297.5bhp for now.

The real story is how different it drives ... so much smoother across the range and the power and torque available sooner and longer.

And yes ... I did drive like a 17 year old through the Hatfield Tunnel on the way home

  6. Well I do 30k+ miles per year for work, got 5 kids between 18 and 9 between me and my girlfriend so the daily and most weekend driver is a Ford Galaxy with roofbox and trailer when needed for camping, breaks etc... Bit like Ronseal ... does what it says very well ....

However the Zed is for fun whenever is needed :yahoo:
