Assuming the LSD isn't a hugely expensive item on the C63, then I'd spec it. It's a big car, and with that much power you'd probably want something to help stop the inside wheel spinning up. Assuming of course you drive it fairly hard on twisty roads or track: If it's just a motorway or straight line machine, then I'd save the cash.

Does the 370z have and LSD or not?

Ive had the Z for nearly 2 years now and never really thought about it but does the Z have an LSD or not?

Why I ask is in about a month Im handing it back to Nissan as my 0% period is up and I'm probably going to get a C63 AMG, on the C63 there is option for an LSD and wondering if i needed it and what the Z had.

I went for the Akrapovic for a number of reasons, sound and looks mainly.

I believe there are exhausts out there that give higher bhp numbers, but for me it wasn't just about the pub numbers.

To be honest I don't mind telling people,

First problems with communication problems with the dealer

Went in for it's 1000 mile service and came out with a kerbed wheel and they tried putting the blame on me

Water getting in the headlights

ABS / traction warning light coming up

Problems with seat head rest not going down, which caused problems when getting people in the back

The bumpers were completely different colour to the rest of the bodywork, they tried fobbing me off saying its plastic but in this day and age it shouldn't be, they said they will get them resprayed free of charge but I'll loose warranty on the paint work.

 

It got to the stage with the dealers I had to speak to the CEO / President of Mercedes Benz directly

 

These are only very few of the problems I have had and in no way would I recommend Mercedes Benz let alone a C63 (Others I can't comment on)

 

If your really looking at getting one seriously consider looking at BMW or Audi!

I am 26 years old and currently drive a 2012 C63 AMG Coupe, I have only had this 3 months from new and got to the stage I am fed up with it already as I have had so many problems both with customer service and the car.

 

Previous to this I had a S2000 GT Turbo (some of you may have seen in numours Jap magazines) which I sold for the C63.

I have now got to the stage I want to sell the C63 and possibly get a 370Z but as I am new to the scene just have some questions.

 

> What are the service intervals and rough prices?

> Any common faults / problems to look out for?

> Any other useful info

> How easy it is to change the head unit?

 

 

Anyway Back to the car

My friend has got a 370Z GT up for sale which he let me use over the weekend and I love it, he hasnt done much to it apart from Remapp and Tein Suspension SuperStreet with EDFC Controler

 

The car is a yellow 59 plate with only 13000 Miles and in mint condition bar about 3 stone chips, hes the only owner, he said I can have it for £16,500 its got the sat nav, Bose system etc, he is also going to service and MOT it before I have it is that a good price?

No to my liking Looking a bit hairdresser-ish

Akrapovic+Berks HFC´s reassuringly expensive! Great quality,Great sound hardly any fitment issues. Still looks like new after 13 months. I did consider the Fast Intensions but the cans do hang rather low might be a problem especially if you are going to lower the car.

Another vote for the akrapovic (I don't have HFCs) but for me it's perfect, much deeper sound than standard but not too loud. Shame she's going in a few months

What was the results before and after remap/fitting?

Just get it done man

 

NiceZed's car is an Auto but it still got good gains just like Chris's car did when we Upreved his car.

Had a 370Z in on Saturday to have a Akrapovic system fitted and a remap , had a poke around and I seem to have given everyone some wrong info, these cars only have 1 set of Catalytic convertors not 2 sets like I thought, the centre silencers which i thought where Cats are just resonated silencers.

And would that be mine Mark

Car is going well with a nice subtle but sporty note.

I have this issue when the key is in the same pocket as mobile. So it might be something to do with mobile signals

I need a 2010/2011 370Z Auto to allow me to down load the ECU data so we can Uprev tune these cars.

 

Any one want a cheap deal on a remap in return for the data from your ECU. It will not cause you any hassle with your warranty.

ace, it's good to know that a Z4 is not perfect but have you driven a 370? My 350 was far better behaved on uneven surfaces.

I have to agree with that, I'm finding the 370z a bit of a hand full on bumpy roads. I think the Mazda 6 estate I have would be quicker road some of the back roads round here!

I think my Quartz is 124 but I'll know for certain next week

Been lurking on here for a little bit getting some info about the Z

Hopefully I should be picking this bad boy up next week, cannot wait!
