  1. Not 100% sure, but it's got to be able to carry 3 people and 3 mountain bikes... So not likely to be in the zed's league!

Possibly an impreza sport wagon, or maybe an octavia vrs.

    Suggestions welcome!

  2. Sold my 350z today - sad day, but it seems to have gone to a good home. The new owner has already discovered this forum, so hopefully he'll be along soon to say hi...

Thanks for all the advice and knowledge that's been available here - with the wealth of knowledge and such a passionate following, it's been a pleasure to be a member!

    Happy zedding!

  3. I'm a convert to MPSS too!

I put a full set on about 500 miles ago, and the difference is really noticeable.

However, I found a large nail in the osf when cleaning the car this morning, so a bit gutted I've got to replace one so soon, particularly as they're not the cheapest around!

  4. I've just changed to MPSS all round - what a difference they've made!

I previously had Falkens on the front and RE50s on the back, but wanted to get a full, matching set and all 4 needed changing.

Considered going with the Potenzas again all round, but after reading comments on here, bit the bullet and paid the extra cash for Michelin, and I'm so pleased I did!

Most noticeable is front end grip - the Falkens had never felt understeery, but MPSS is like being on rails! (Ok, reality check, new tyres are always going to feel better than ones with 2mm left, but the Zed never felt this good on the Falkens, even when they were new).

I would definitely recommend them if you can find the extra bit of cash!

  5. It's getting better every year (been to every one), though the entry list doesn't changes massively. Definitely the best weather so far too, all the others have been wet.

There're loads of car clubs there too, with dedicated club parking/stands next to the track - I was there with a TR6 club; gazebo brew kit etc set up right next to the track...

Maybe a Zed club stand could be an option for next year if enough interested? You get reduced price entry tickets too...

I've got plenty of pics if anyone's interested...

  6. Just cancelled my LoveFilm Instant subscription... Was using it through the PS3, but the interface will only pull up the first 20 pages of any genre... Ie if you just want to browse action films by A-Z it would show that there were 170 or so pages, but the PS3 would only show the first 20 pages (getting to films beginning with C if you we're lucky)

Certainly, if you searched a specific title and it was available on 'watch now' (have to say, the instant selection was very poor and outdated, no where near as up to date as the direct rentals) it streamed perfectly in HD without any buffering issues.

Also, thee was often a disparity between what the website said was available on 'watch now' and what was actually available through the PS3.

No experience of Netflix though... Hopefully this is better. I'm surprised Blockbuster haven't got in on the act too!

  7. Anyone else heading to Cholmondley Pagaent of Power this weekend?

It's gonna be wet, but there's a good line up of cars and bikes incl. the Aston One-77! According to the literature, Nissan will also be there with a GTR, a 370Z and a chance top win a wildcard entry into this year's Playstation Academy final!

I'll be there on Saturday (though I'll have to be on the Triumph Register stand for some of the day) - if you are going, maybe meet up for a chat at the Zed club stand?

  9. Popped over to say hi to a black GT4 today that regularly visits the office next to mine (first time I've seen the driver to speak to)...

Asked the guy if he was a member here "clubs are not really my thing" he says. I explain how great the forum is for info, advice, etc and mention the drive-outs - he's still not interested.

Ok, each to their own.:surrender:

Next thing, he's telling me that the GT4 edition has 80bhp more than other UK 350Zs - is this really the case? I've never heard this before? Seems a huge amount more...

  10. Might be a silly question, but can anyone tell me what the roof is made of on my 04 Coupe?

I've searched here and seen that the bonnet is aliuminium, but couldn't find anything about the roof... :surrender:

Reason for asking is I've found three nasty deep scratches on the roof that weren't there last time I washed it, so popped to my local bodyshop guy today, who thinks it's the paint cracking rather than scratches... :scare:

I know one option would be a wrap, but I really wanna get to the bottom of the cause...

  11. After a bored morning, I've (gently) pried open a flap on the passenger side lower dash, above the power socket, to discover a cupholder! :yahoo:

After taking all the lower dash trim off, it looks like the screw that holds the cupholder return spring is missing. Does anyone have one?

Here's a pic from another site that I googled:

    728

Failing that, I guess it'll mean a new cupholder...

  12. Hi all,

I've also just had struts back from SGS...

Original plan was for a regas (same as slimjim In think), but after SGS regassed and tested the struts next day, they'd lost pressure again (good service from SGS - they retested before posting them back to me). Ended up paying the extra for new struts from SGS - they offered specific ones depending on the spoiler fitted, and were very reasonable. All-in, about £60. Like jim said - ideally it's a two person jopb putting them back on... crikey that boot lid is heavy!

  13. Mattski - I'm a snowboarder called Bob! :disguise:

    Not really...

As you can guess, my name is Matt, and apart from the zed, skiing is my passion - one 'mistress' loves the snow, the other... well there's plenty of threads about that on here.
