Nice Job Tim, that interior must have been a lot of work
Just got a quick question for you. I brought some Espuma TGB from you around xmas time and planning to use it this weekend. Do you dilute the TGB first or just spray it on neat then wipe off after a few minutes?
-
I've been wanting to invest properly in shares for a long term so wil defiantly be interested in having a few people to chat to about potential tips.
-
For general wheel cleaning i recommend Espuma Revolution. I brought a bottle from Tim (Envy Valeting) and have been very pleased with it. I used it the other day i couldn't believe how quickly and easy the dirt came off without having to scrub it, so much better than the Autoglym, Megs and Dodo Juice wheel cleaners i've used before. Should also save money longer term as it dilutes to 1/10 so the bottle should last a while.

I brought a meguiars G220DA Machine Polisher from Tim's Group buy along with a Yellow Polishing Pad and Black Buffing Pad. I now need to order some polish that will be suitable for removing light swirl marks and holograms from the zed and was hoping to get some recommendations
My Girlfriend did order me a bottle of "3M Extra Fine" and trying to decide whether to order the "3M ultrafina" aswell or to return it and get the Meguiars "Ultimate Compound" or even something different like "Menzerna 85RD".
Has anyone used these products and advise which will be most suitable for the Nissan Paintwork to remove swirls and leave a glossy finish.
I'll also probably use it on Honda Civic, Audi TT and BMW M3 although the 350z is my priority..

I find it almost impossible to see my my oil level as the dipstick always seems to be covered in oil blotches all the way up it so can't tell if the oil is between the two markers or not.
-
I'm interested in going, just need to check if i;m on call that weekend before confirming.
-
Thanks for the pm's, I'm planning on being there

Be careful.
I've got +12 on 18" Rotas with a 275 rear tyre and they rub.
I wanted to lower but can't without arch work.
So does it rub most the time and require arch work, or only when you going over speed bumps?
-
if hes planning on lowering then arch rolling wouldn't hurt, cost about £80 for the rears and dosen't take long
No plans to lower it at the moment, although this could change depending on how it looks after the wheels are put on
-
+12 front you ll be fine even lowered.
+12 rear...ok with a 2+ degrees camber...and only just...if you want it too low with 0.5 camber lets say then think of +22
I've no idea what the camber currently is but the suspension is the standard setup.
From the responses it sounds like the front will be ok with the +12 offset and the rears will just about fit
thanks

Hi,
Need your help to decide which offset Varrstoen rims to order. Will the following require arch work on a standard 06 car?
19x9.5 +12 with 245/35/19 Tyres
19x10.5 +12 with 275/35/19 Tyres
Or will these be better:
19x9.5 +22(+3mm spacer) 245/35/19
19x10.5 +22 275/30/19
I've noticed that the front arch on the Zed seems to be pretty smooth anyway.
thanks
Ryan

i can't make it on October 17th but will come to the next one when a date is confirmed

If I go for the 19's with a 12 offset I will. Just looking to price up the different options but deciding which wheels to get
-
what size wheels you putting on mate.
haven't decided yet between the 19" varrstoen or the 18" rota gtr-d
-
There is a place in wareham that does powder coating
Thanks Dave, any idea what the company is called?
Hi ryan , i am getting my arches done very soon and a mate i know can do it , used to work for south coast wheels so knows what he is doing, send me a pm with your no and i will pass on his no to you. quote]thanks, pm'd

Hi,
Can anyone recommend any good places that do Arch Rolling and also Alloy Wheel Powder Coating in the Dorset Area?
thanks
-
thanks for the advice as always guys
-
I'm looking at buying the Varrstoen wheels from RareRims but wanted to change them to a silver colour. I was going to powdercoat them but after reading some of the threads i thought painting might be the safer option.
-
Hi,
I've read the posts about the possible risks of powdercoating wheels and just wondered if there were any disadvantages of just painting the alloys?
-
Varrstoen!
Next choice is which offset
-
22s if you want fat tyres are the easiest option.
If you dont mind sticking with 225 or 235 front and 255/265 rear I'd think the 12s should be fine.
It will depend on how low you are and what camber you are running of course...
Sorry for the all questions, just want to make sure i get the right wheels
From looking at other threads most people seem to have 235 front and 275 rear on the 19inch rotas. Would 265 look ok on a 10" rear wheel?
Also is there any photos showing the difference between +22 and +12 on a 350z? I´ve found pictures of et0 offset but not the others.
If i did go for the +22 is the 3mm spacers something you can supply?
-
which offset do you recommend? I see that +22 needs spacers and the +12 would need arch work.
-
Powder Coating silver is approx. £150 for the set
Thanks
Very tempted now

Is there an option to get these powdercoated silver by Varrstoen before shipment... if so any idea on price?
