  1. Hi everyone,

Been reading up the past few days on installing a new head unit and I think I have found what I require. Could someone just clarify before I buy these items that they are what I need to get everything working please?

I have the Bose so I need the fasia and then the looms etc to make the steering wheel column buttons work:

Then this head unit so I can get sat nav (from my iPhone)

I did want to replace the cubby hole and get a sat nav in there which I did with my old 350z, but looking at the prices for the 370z I think the above route will be the most cost effective to get sat nav into the car

  2. Thanks for all the help on this guys, I'm going in there later and I will ask exactly what bits are corroded. If it is the connecting flanges as described above, I will say to them about welding.

    Thanks again.

  3. Thanks guys, just had a browse on eBay, seems to quite a few on there but no idea what I'm really looking for. Some say missing screws and others include sections that I'm not sure if I even need. I assume 'rear exhaust box' means the pipes too - so the bits you can see from behind when standing up behind the car

  4. Hi everyone,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I have just heard back from the garage regarding my MOT and it needs a new rear exhaust box and centre section. He wants £601 alone for the parts.

To me this sounds a bit much? He doesn't mind fitting the parts if I can source some myself. Any ideas where I can get some?

Due to some unfortunate circumstances I may have to sell the car shortly, so second hand parts are certainly an option too.

Thanks for any advice with this :)

  5. Thanks for all the help guys, I just went out and can see visible scratches on the rear, so I am assuming it must be the two at the back need doing. I will order some OEM discs and pads now

  6. Hi,

My car is needing new brakes, so I am going to order the parts online. The problem is that I do not know if it is the front or rear, and if I need new discs or pads. When I brake under 10mph, you can hear the rubbing. With my previous car, when I hit the brake peddle it would only engage the front brakes, rears came on with the handbrake.

Is the 350z the same? So therefore, as I get the noise only from my brake peddle and not the handbrake, it is likely to be the front? Should I just order discs and pads, rather than just swapping pads?

I have the car booked in for next Friday, so I will order the parts online prior to that. The reason I am not having it done all by the garage is that last time I had them done, he quoted me over 400 pounds more than if I had bought the parts online and just paid for his labour!

    Any help would be appreciated

  7. Boat is a rib so would be very very light, looks like the Z can't tow :( I had a look at the rear of the car and the exhuast takes up most of the space so can't see there would be any space at all so fit one

  8. Does anyone know if the 350z can have a tow bar fitted? I searched a bit but was getting mixed opinions. Reason I ask is trying to buy a boat but if the z can't tow it then there is not much point :(

    Cheers guys

  9. I am selling my original spoiler as I have recently fitted a Nismo one. Paintwork is in excellent condition and should be a simple fit.

Any questions or pic requests just ask.

£40 collected from West Sussex or £50 posted.

I will be on holiday for next few days but will answers questions when possible.

    Cheers :)

  10. Selling my original lights as I have upgraded them now.

Does not include the bulbs, simple fitment.

  11. No worries. I paid £62 delivered for them which I thought was a great deal as from what I can see have not ever been fitted. Although I would even say the ones on ebay are a great price also. Once they are fitted there is no alignment issues etc. The issue I had was that once you put them into place the holes are not 100% lined up and that is why they needed the electronic thing to really get them straight on.

I would definitely recommend them, the only difference is these have about 15 or so LED lights whilst the genuine ones have 7 I believe, but who's counting

  12. The fitment is good but not perfect, in the end I had to use an electric wrench type thing to really power them into place. Once fitted they are flush to the car and fine, however the little gromets that go over the bolt holes don't fit on these lights. Perhaps if you buy them new then they might include them? If not you would have to go to covers or somewhere similar and find some that fit. I am going to go over the weekend I am sure they will be cheap (if I can find some) but still bit annoying. You definately need them as when you open the boot you can see the bolts and it just doesn't look right.

I have done my best with the pics but the one lit up did not come out well, but you get the idea

  13. Yeah I will get some pics up, not sure how well the night one will come out but I will give them a go when I get home. One thing I have noticed is that the light is actually red rather than what I was worried about - the dreaded pink!
