Snap! I've had exactly the same problems nic...I was beginning to think that it was my driving! I know my mismatch tyres don't help (saving for new) but didn't expect to feel like I was in a sledge in this weather! I have never driven as slow since one particularly dodgy moment...ironic really!

Oh and my car is male too! (And very handsome he is!!!)

Just back in from a little shopping trip...thought I would share with you how hard it is to be a driver AND a woman...

Dead cute squirrel had a narrow escape from my zeds wheels as I was distracted by checking my nails looked beautiful, also had a VERY close encounter with the rear of a Ford Focus as I HAD to check my eyelashes were there and didn't realise I was at a roundabout, oh and because my hair just WOULDN'T go right this morning, HAD to fluff up when got the opportunity...very rude drivers at the traffic lights, I wasn't that long in realising the lights had changed to green...

It's hard to be a woman...!!! (I feel a Dolly Parton moment coming on!!!)

Sorry to hear about your bumper... ...but also sorry that you have such a stereotypical view of women drivers... ...I hope you were joking!!!

Personally I think it was more likely that the husband pranged your car and blamed the wife...!!!

Sad times but something tells me it won't be long before MattyR is back!!!

Bought my zed in the summer and unfortunately it has mismatched front/rears.

REO40's on the front and acceleras on the rear...

Having had numerous scary situations whilst driving (sensibly!!!) in the wet, notably one at 3 o'clock in the morning on the M62 during monsoon like conditions... ...I had begun to think I couldn't drive and it was me!!! Thanks to this informative post, and the advice of friends with zeds, I am going to save up and treat my zed to a new set of shoes...ALL FOUR MATCHING!!!

Just done my first ever journey in the snow with my zed, never ever again.....god i need a whiskey. I guess it just takes some getting used to rear wheel drive in the snow but jesus i felt so little in control. At least car and driver got home safe.

Yes...they kept putting the phone down on me! When I looked on line they didn't have matching front and rear so phoned to double check...when questioned they put the phone down!!! (Think my enquiry was too complicated!) Then spoke to my local tyre garage who informed me one of the so called winter tyres they were selling was not infact winter at all despite their £300 price tag!!!

So very sorry to read this, know just what your going through. I was your age when my beloved sister got cancer. Spend as much time as you can with him...I used to leave work early every friday and travel down the M1 to spend the weekend with her and all the family...so glad I did, those times were very special to me. Will be thinking of you and your family Stephen.

Winter tyres are still the best if u could afford them or has a place to put away your summer tyres.

 

Or get hold of any!!! Tried for weeks and weeks but no success...apparently the tyre depots are low on all stock and zed tyre sizes are not your average size!!! Some internet sites are showing stock of winter tyres when really they are all weather tyres pretending to be winter ones!

Think I have got SNOWphobia since buying my zed...go all jittery when I see a white flake...!!!

I must be the only person who when placed next to an obnoxiously revving neighbour at traffic lights, who is trying to jump a queue of cars by going straight from a lane designed for right turns only, apart from all the other obvious necessary steps turns off the aircon, radio & heated seats in preparation...
