  1. Brilliant guys, thanks for that. Alot of good information there! As said, i'll get them done since i've now got them. The car does to be honest, feels awful at the mom. Ive changed the 20's back to original 17's and that made a good difference. (I got them all balanced and alignment checked too) The drivers side 'banana bar' compression arm/suspension was replaced recently too and that also helped. The symptoms are difficult to explain, the car bounces on the road and I can feel every bump/road texture on roads. The car is no longer planted. Thought initially worn shocks or broken spring but all is fine. The problem is that there could be several causes. I'm def. not imagining it, i am used to sports cars and their firm ride (Last few cars were DC5 Type R, DC2, 330...) Suggestions are happily received!! Cheers again
  2. Another quick one, I decided just to grease them up and that sorted the noise but the rear feels wobbly and doesnt feel as good in the bends. Would that be the drop links? Ive bought them anyway and will have fitted next week. I guess my question is really, what do anti roll bar drop links do? Cheers
  3. Well..I still haven't decided! Here's a couple of pictures. I guess my concern that TEIN springs wont lower it enough (mainly at the rear) Just want to get rid of the 4x4 look, what you guys think... Apologies for the phone pics and unwashed car lol
  4. No idea about the size im afraid mate. I would just give JdmPerformance a call, they'll sort you out, helpful bunch. Cheers
  5. Hi mate, i've also got non-brembo and in the end I went for Project MU pads, they're pretty awesome. Better than the EBC (just my opinion though) I am really impressed with them, just as good as the Ferrodo 2500's I had on my DC5. I bought mine off JDMPERFORMANCE. They're is a few to choose from but I went for the NS one's. Just call them and they'll get you the right ones. If you don't want to spend as much, go for the PAGID pads, you'll get them same place. http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item.ph ... =333000359 Cheers, Martyn

    Spacer bolts

Hi guys, 1 of the bolts on the rear wheels has snapped off (wasn't me!) and need to find a replacement. Ive got 20mm spacers, which look like the eibach one's, where can I buy them? Had a search but it mostly came up with spacer kits. Prob me being daft! Cheers Martyn
  8. Just put my winter wheels on (bit late!), a mate gave me his 17" G35 wheels and have to admit, it looks surprisingly good! (I had 20's on before) Im still on stock suspension and debating between TEINS and the Eibachs. There's quite a difference in drop and was wondering if anyone had lowered on 17's and maybe some pictures if possible? Had a search but couldnt find anything Cheers
  9. About to lower the car on Eibachs so ill need rear arms, saw these on ebay. Will they do the job or is it cheap ebay junk? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-Z33-I ... 230c344280 And just to confirm, if i go for the Teins, theres no need for them, that right?
  10. Lol, i was just checking to see if anyone had replied (a bit hopeful) and couldnt find my post! Cheers
  11. Hi guys, having an issue with the above! Its not detrimental, but its really annoying and want it sorted. *I have an aftermarket Cobra alarm system on my JDM 04' with 35k. *When I lock the car using the remote, no doors are actually locked. I can open both doors and the alarm goes off. *I can lock the passenger door from inside, then go outside and lock the drivers side with the key. Both doors are now locked. Then i can set the alarm using the cobra fob and now both doors are locked and the alarm is on. Great! Now when i use the fob to unlock, both doors are now unlocked! Brilliant! So I dont understand why it cant lock them??? *Also, if I use the switch on the drivers side control unit (beside the mirror/window switches etc) nothing happens and I hear a clicking sound coming from the drivers side footwell. I beleive this is the Body Control Unit. It sounds like a relay. *I have checked fuses and there was one that was blown, a 15Amp fuse, I replaced it but it made no difference. Unfortunately, I dont know which one this is as there is no diagram. Any ideas??? Please help!

    17" Alloys

Thanks guys, that awesome! Would these be alright: (Would there be any probs with traction control) Front- 245/45/17 Rear- 255/45/17 Cheers
  13. It was a mate who done the arm and brakes for me. The geometry wasn't set up again though. Would that have any effect? The discs were bought new off a member here but they were checked prior to being replaced. Doubt it would but I know that my rear droplinks need done (clunking about) could it be a possible cause?
  14. Hi there, my car is terrible to drive! Ill try to summarise whats happened so far. Firstly, 2 weeks ago, I heard a knocking from the front drivers side (at low speeds over cobbly roads) and it turned out to be the dreaded banana bar. So I got that taken care of. At the same time, my discs and pads up front were worn so I got them done too. I got the car back and the knocking had gone but the car was horrible to drive. The suspension feels very hard and I feel every bump in the road. Once on the motorway, at speeds over 70mph the steering wheel vibrates and vibration felt through the footwell/legs. Once past 80mph, it's much worse. It gets worse as speed increases. So I got wheel balancing checked and that helped alittle. At the time, i was convinced it would be wheel balancing so i got it done again. So I went to another place and it slightly better. There is def. no brake wobble and brakes are nicely bedded in. Apart from wheel balancing, what causes vibration/poor ride? Any suggestions on what to check? Also, the car is standard apart from the 20" alloys with decent tyre tread. (I know that the ride isn't going to be amazing with large rims but it was totally fine before)
