  1. Update on the alarm problems. Car was in the dealership for 3 days and they decided to replace the ECM and also replace a corroded terminal they found. So far the alarm hasn't gone off since (fingers crossed).

I can't really complain about the dealership they seemed to stick at it and not just give up. So  to them.

  2. Has anyone had any problems with the 370z alarm going off?

Over the past 3 or 4 weeks my alarm has been going off randomly. At first I thought it was the usual wind or a cat or something but having seen it go off with no one near it I'm convinced theres a fault somewhere.

Its now going off about once every other day and tonight i came home to it making a continuous high pitched beep. Its going back into the dealership for a second time next week. Last time they stuck it on the diagnostic and it read clear as I thought it would and said it was probably the wind

Its a really annoying problem and I'm guessing theres not an easy fix. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

  3. And I was thinking I had the only blue 370 in Glasgow :D

You didn't buy it from Macklin motors Darnley did you buy chance? I had a test drive in their blue demonstrator before I got mine elsewhere. it had the connect premium pack with the reversing camera. Was a very nice car.

Personally I love the blue (although I'm biased) :)

Yes that's the one I bought. Saved a fortune over brand new with around 900 miles on the clock and fully spec'd.

Yea I agree. I would have liked to have bought that car from them but they were offering a seriously poor trade in price on my 350z. I got £2000 more else where. :)

  4. Yea to be fair that's pretty much what the guy said who did the repair. He said the finish is sparkling glass and there's a black coat underneath the top coat which makes it very hard to touch in.

  5. Having clipped an alloy last week and getting an 'ok' repair I called the local hpc for a quote on a new alloy. They didn't know and called Nissan who said £1441 for one!

Maybe I'm naive but that just seems ridiculous.

My scuff is tiny and it was only my OCD that made me think about calling for a new one but at that price there's no chance in hell I'd buy one.

  6. I am just up the road in giffnock.... I havent seen any blue 370z kicking about.... I shall keep my eyes peeled

Only had it a few weeks. Had a black 57 plate 350z before that.

  8. Hi,

Does anyone know a close colour and brand of paint to buy if your spraying your cubby hole button?

The paints all scratched off mine and its kinda annoying. i managed to get the button out of the lid and give it a quick spray with interior car paint but the colour match is kinda off and now its even more annoying :)

I just didnt fancy paying the £70 or so for an entire new cubby whole.

I did find on one of the US sites http://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/432770-door-handle-and-cubby-hole-scratches.html some guy got an almost exact match with Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric Flat Black but i doesnt look like thats sold over here.

Has anyone found a close match thats available in the uk?

  9. Hey,

Just a quick reply to say i managed to replace the cicular door vent.

incase anyone has the same problem heres how i did it, it was quite easy to remove.

I just opened the door fully and went through the gap on the inside of the door. I used a phillips head screw driver to hold the screw in the centre of the vent in place and turned the vent its self counter clockwise from the outside and it just unscrews off.

Turned out to be really straight forward and luckily didnt need the door pannel to come off :)

  10. hey

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the circular 3 fin ac door vents?

My driver side vent is broken ( i was told its common problem). The little plastic support that holds the 3 fins in place has snapped so i was hoping to pop the vent out and glue the support back in and replace the vent.

Im not sure if it just clips out from the front or you need to take off the door pannel and get to it from the back.

    has anyone done this before?

    thanks :)
