  1. Your right, I'm going to take it back. It was a while ago so they might tell me to go away! Local stereo shop didn't have any suggestions... Might give Nissan UK a call!
  2. Tbh I'm not sure, but I know airbags are bloody powerful when they go off so wouldn't want to chance it with my toddler. It's a good point though, might ask my local dealer for their thoughts! Cheers, Bk
  3. Hi, Thanks so much for the wiring diagram offer. Am going to wait a bit, I'm deleberating over whether or not to change cars... If I decide on keeping her then I'll be back for the advice. Cheers, Bk
  4. I'd post a photo if I knew how
  5. Thanks guys, I thought about the fuse box but then thought it might disable the whole SRS which isn't what I want. Daughter would be in there once a week maybe, rest of the time I'd like to know it would pop out for me should I be unlucky! The weight switch is interesting though, any further info would be appreciated. Nissan obviously doesn't want kids to sit in the front with all thoses "don't do it decals" so I would want to disable that side of the car physically for peace of mind. Otherwise I've started eyeing up a Cayman S Not very loyal, but it has a boot, iso fix and a switch for the airbag! Cheers, Bk
  6. Hi, That could be it. I had a parrot fitted and then removed as the roadster has to much cabin noise and hands free was a waste of time, the halfords chap looked like he was rushing... Will pop it out and have a fiddle. Cheers, Bk
  7. Hi, Bit of a late response but I used these guys for a 3cm scratch on my roof. Car Hood Warehouse Ltd. there in Chessington 0208 391 5326 Hadn't gone all the way through and looked like a cat or something had scuffed it, you could just see a bit of daylight through it. They did a really neat fix, combination of a perfect mohair patch on inner with their secret waterproof glue and some black silicone on the exterior. It hasn't split or anything with the roof going up or down, job done for £25! They call it a temporary fix as it won't last forever but it's better than the alternative of replacing the whole thing until its faded and knackered! Hope this helps, BK
  8. Guys, Any ideas on how to fix a OEM stereo? it's the standard six disco job. Is there a reset? Occasionally works as normal but then freezes again without warning... Volume and on/off works but thats it, it's stuck on one one station and will accept a disk but not allow you to choose a track. So you have to listen to it right the way through... If anyone has a Bose in working condition I might be interested in buying it of you Cheers, BK
  9. Guys, Has anyone attempted to turn their Passenger airbag off? I have a second child on the way this summer and the scenario/topic of maybe you should change your car has popped up If I can switch the airbag off then occasional trips in the Z with my daughter become a possibility... and the the Z's stays... Can't believe Nissan didn't fit a key switch for on/off or was it an option? Otherwise
  10. Thank you! Your right, they are both unfortunately disappearing fast. Costs of maintanence against value of the actual cars mean they are being scrapped when they go wrong:( I lusted after both of them as a 17 year old petrolhead! Cheap as like these days. Build quality wasn't ever an issue, sense of occasion and feel good factor 10/10! The Z is similar in feel good factor and has a chassis that doesn't disappoint! Cheers, BK
  11. I did exactly what your proposing for exactly the same reasons! Miss the 911 dearly, but the 350 can't be underestimated! It's got performance and character. They are cheap as chips to run (mine costs me about £350 on service and bits + tyres PA) that's compared to £2k + tyres a year on the porker! It will never replace the 911 but is a fantastic substitute whilst money is needed elsewhere! Zed's are really well built and you won't regret buying one I promise. Try and get yourself a well spec'd UK GT, if you can stretch to a 313bhp then do it. That's my only regret, I should have spent a bit more. We're you on 911UK.com? Cheers, BK
  12. Agreed eBay link a rip off but sells to Asia, WLMG only charged £5.70 but the postage to HK might cost a few quid! That shocked me as I was expecting more from Nissan. Keep the seals lubed up as the cost of replacing them is quite frankly hideous! Cheers, BK
  13. Hi, My local main dealer (WLMG) sold me this:- TUNAP PREMIUM 104 Micro Logic http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewit ... 0807954789 Awesome stuff, seals look like new. I used it on all the joints and my roof remains slick! Cheers, BK
  14. Hi, Thanks for that. Here is the link:- I will give it a go, might take some before and after shots for the forums benefit! Cheers, BK
  15. HNY chaps, I follow the forum but don't really ever need to post! Apart from tyres and a service the car is simply brilliant. I used to own a 911 964... Used to be on that forum everyday! Anyway, a cat or similar scuffed my cloth roof this summer, it didn't tear but you can now see daylight through the thread... It's about 2 inches long, anyone know someone who could fix this for me? I live near Hampton Court, East Molesey, Surrey. Cheers, BK
