  1. Hi all.

As i have now sold my 350Z i have my old spacers for sale. As per title, the rear 2 (25mm) are Eibach and the front 2 (20mm) are MW tech. These are the hubcentric direct fit type, no need for longer studs etc.

Eibachs will be boxed, MW Techs will be in a jiffy bag or random box of some sort.

Give your Z the stance she deserves this Valentines day....

  2. Can't comment on the fuel economy yet as I have only driven about 100 miles.

Performance wise (this won't be popular) it is in a different league. Possibly not as keen low down, but from about 4k it flies, getting more and more urgent as it approaches the top end. I think another reason for it is that the M feels like it wants to be rung out, whilst the Z felt a bit flat when it got to 5k. It certainly feels more exciting flat out.

Again though, I am not trying to detract from the Z, for the amount that it cost me over 12 months it was excellent.

  3. To answer the questions:

    I have now got an E46 M3.

    I'm 6'3.

I adjusted the headlight height as high as I could without blinding other traffic. It did improve things but still did not seem to output much light, maybe it was reflector design?

But overall I think zeds are top cars, would heartily recommend them, fuel is the only thing that is expensive with them, and in no way is it excessive for the performance they provide.

  4. Well today I traded in my 55 plate Z.

Feel a little bit sad about it, it was a car that was very reliable during my 12 months of ownership, and the engine always provided good pull for any revs.

I suppose my biggest criticisms were:

Average headlights combined with low driving position meant that night driving was difficult for me (I was blinded by the majority of on oncoming traffic).

The heavy steering was involving but meant that mid corner kickback could be off putting.

Basically though it was a very low maintenance GT that always got positive comments and one that I was always 100 percent reliable would start in the morning. One of my better cars then...

  5. I had original y-pipe on scorpion. It was louder than standard. The y-pipe never really made much difference to the noise to be honest. It made it rev more freely but I done it purely for power purposes for when I get a remap

    Excellent, ta

  6. To all of you with the Scorpion zorsts, are you running the standard Y pipe or an aftermarket one? Does the Scorpion sound louder than std with the origional Y pipe or do you really need to factor in another £200?

  7. Hi all,

One of the phono plugs on my Bose ICT loom seems to be breaking down. If i waggle the plug the speaker channel will cut in and out.

Is there any easy way to just chop the plug and resolder? I have chopped up a couple of leads i had laying around at home, and cant see an easy way to get in to the moulding short of chopping the plug off entirely. Doing this leaves a small insulated wire inside some copper shielding.

I dont really want to have to buy another entire loom, so if anyone can tell me if there is a cheap way to deal with this it would be much appreciated!

  8. Thanks for the replys chaps, think i will be going for one with a remap early in the new year.

Thanks for submitting that link, i have actually viewed that a couple of times over the past couple of days, but all the images are blocked on my work pc and only about 3/4 of them load up on my iphone.... looks like i will have to boot up my laptop for once!
