  1.

Also would you recommend those snow socks?? Ever tried them??

Snow socks are OK - good for getting you out of crap if you're away from home and the snow comes down. If you have the cash, buy some 17s and put winter tyres on. It'll be like driving a 4x4 and you'll preserve your OEM alloys from all the salt/grit on the roads.

  2. I have had just over a year of trouble free motoring and now a company car is going to force the sale of my Zed.

It is a UK GT spec car so has the usual sat nav, bose stereo, Rays etc etc

    Also fitted (courtesy of CS):

    JWT popcharger

    Eibach 20mm spacers

HEL brake lines with 5.1 fluid.

The full ad is on PistonHeads: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2107037.htm

I'll be sorry to see it go and I'm not going to let it go for a silly price so sensible offers only and no time wasters please.

    Copious pictures:

  3. Just booked a pointless day out for the love of the Zed, having a day trip from Tamworth to Belgium and back.

Might as well stock my mum up with fags while I'm there - anyone know any cheap places to get them?

  4. I couldn't believe it, I came out of the hotel following two modified Zeds (one blue, one white), got to the first roundabout and they went but I got stuck behind 4 or five cars then a white van, got to the next roundabout and they'd gone and my map had fallen into the passenger footwell so I saw a red Zed and followed that, after reaching to get the map I realised I had taken the wrong turn then looked in the mirror to see a fleet of Zeds behind me :scare: I thought "that's it, five mins into my first meet and I've buggered it" Thankfully the guy behind me (FP53...) went around me (I pulled over) and I followed him into Llangollen!

It was me in FP53, I saw you waving me past and thought "oh crap, I don't know where we're going either!" I just followed the red zed and hoped he knew the way. That worked until near Ruthin where I lost him at a junction, which left me leading our convey. I thought there wasn't any point in pulling over because it didn't seem like you knew the way either so I dug out the directions, crossed my fingers and luckily we ended up at the Lake!

You blagged it very well, think we should organise the next event, how hard can it be.....? ;)

  5. I agree with the team completly. And also I live arround here.

Thank goodness I did not get a ban for 'Putting on a Hi-Vis vest and stopping all the traffic in Bala'.

    Cos that's a road traffic offence, I think !!

The Village People took offence though

  6.

The sheep in Wales aren't all white and fluffy! ;)

think we were some of those sheep

I'm sure I wasn't flavour of the week! I decided I knew a better, safer, more interesting, fun, exciting, economical route that enriched us all...

    That's my line & I'm sticking with it! :p

  7. I really thought we might have had a serious accident there and I'm so glad everyone had the skill, judgement and good luck to avoid anything serious happening.

My money's on the good luck bit!!!

I always find that the safer you drive the luckier you get. :)

I'll take that as a compliment! I was feeling guilty after taking a wrong turn within a mile of leaving the hotel and having half the convoy follow me!

  9. ..........didn'y get one of the suicidal collies that almost put me into the hedge!

Jeez yes! I was up the front and saw them screaming down that track out the corner of my eye but had no time to warn any of you guys. I have to admit I looked in the wing mirror expecting the worst.

How you missed them / they missed you is still beyond me.

I have no idea either! Was convinced I'd be peeling them off at the next stop, think they tried to 'play' with Sparky too.
