  1. Another Z newbie here and looking for a 276. I too wasn;t aware of the lengths it took to get gains from this engine. Unfortunately a 300 is out of budget and the road tax is crazy. I'd also like to hear what gains were had on your car davey boy as this would be a likely route for me to take if the gains were worth while. Not too fussed about BHP but torque is the most important thing.
  2. Oh ok, thanks for the info Still learning
  3. Yeah, that's an issue I guess but is triptronic hard to live with? Sorry, never driven one before but I would like a manual. I don't think that one is an import is it? I may be wrong but I think the UK's started from 2003 onwards? Thanks for reminding about PistonHeads, I alwys overlook it
  4. Any opinions on this 276? I can't see that it has Brembo's however and is it too cheap? http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... gLetter=03
  5. I had no idea that some imports didn't have the Brembo's, thanks for the info p15 I still love my LCR but like you say, once things drop below the £10,000 price tag, chav with far too much benefit money on their hands start to ruin things. I checked out a silver Z over the weekend but had a nasty key scratch down one side over 2 panels
  6. Good price! I will keep on hunting this week
  7. No colour or spec in mind really. I drive a yellow car now so orange isn't so shocking to me either . I have a thing for black cars but I am not sure I have ever seen a black Z. My only preference is that it's a 276 due to road tax but that's it. I think I am right in saying that they all have Brembo brakes? The Rays wheels don't bother me too much as at some point i'd most likely upgrade to some 19" Rota GTR's. Indeed I will look cool which ever one I end up with though If anyone spots anything good withing my budget around the Reigate/Gatwick area then let me know. As long as it's not at Wilson's Nissan in Epsom . Edit: I am looking for a Coupe, not Cabrio.
  8. Thanks for all of the replies, it's certainly a friendly place Totally agree with you jerry3167, I am seeing a few Leon Cupra R's about these days with silly lads driving them. I might see you about Cavey, I always use the A217, look out for the yellow Leon that's struggling for grip lol. Is it still possible to get a 276 facelift then RichT? I though the 276 ran only up until 2006? Hi marzman, I always do some research before signing up/posting and most importantly buying. I hope to learn alot more from you guys too. My Leon is quicker which I was kind of thought it may be. I haven't driven a 300 or 315 to compare but my Leon is pushing nearly 280bhp and 300+lb/ft (twice on dyno), it can be alot to handle and struggle to get power down but when it bites the tarmac I start to get a little scared.
  9. I have had Rota before and can't fault them one bit These look lovely on the 350
  10. Sorry to hear that. I am in the market for a 350 too and have discovered a couple of sheds out there so far which is really sad. Glad you have a friend that's willing to help you like that, I always take my dad (mechanic) with me before making a purchase too .
  11. Thanks for the welcome messages so far I won't post up details of the last 350 I saw (60k), the salesman started from cold and planted his foot flat to the floor . Also with the fuel tank nearly empty and dragging up all sorts of nasties from it into the engine. I am going to head off to the for sale section now. I hope my £10k budget will do me well, at least to get me an 03MY UK car anyway.
  12. Hi all. I thought I would sign up as I am in the market for a 350z, looking to buy as soon as the 370z arrives and dealerships *cough* Wilsons of Epsom *cough* realise that they can't charge £4000 more than book value for an 03 plate 276. My current car is a tuned SEAT Leon Cupra R which I love but I feel it is time to move out of the Hot Hatch sector. I test drove an 04MY 350z a couple of weeks back and fell in love with the ride and it's sound. It was equipped with the NISMO exhaust and GT pack I believe (Rays wheels), what a gorgeous car. I'll be honest, it's not as quick as my current car but somehow with this, it doesn't bother me one bit . I will be looking for a 2003 - 2006 276bhp 350, mainly because I begrudge paying the proposed £435 road tax next year for the later 300 & 315 models. So yeah, hello one and all, I look forward to speaking to you soon & learning more about these cars.
