  1. Indeed, but nicer to have them on the car already as it will most likely save ££££ and hassle
  2. Unfortunately that info is not all correct, as the JDM cars to my knowledge never got the (CVTCS) system with the 298BHP engine, this only went to the USDM G35, so don;t waste your time trying to find one in the UK. Like i said all the other bits are options and like a lot of JDM car manufactures, they where very much a mix & match, as you can order virtually any combination form Japanese manufactures OK, but at least some of it makes sense. So at least you can see the optional extras the car may/may not have etc... One I'm looking at seems the basic auto, but has the larger 7 spoke alloys for example, which I think look nicer. But then it doesn't have the rear spoiler, which was another option.
  3. Here's seeming quite a good list of the differences/flavours - http://www.jlimports.com.au/nissan-skyl ... -v35-coupe
  4. I assume the paddle shift offers nothing more than the auto would offer anyway? ie: The auto can be controleld in the same way from the gear lever moving up/down gears?
  5. Nice car! Personally I'd like to go a little more standard - Just my taste of course
  6. I guess it's just that not many 350GTs come up, and when one comes up at the right price, in the right area, with the right spec, if it's an auto rather than manual, is that enough of a deal breaker for you. Especially when manuals are the exception!?
  7. From my understanding it basically comes:- With premium pack or without it? In manual or auto? If this is correct, what does the premium pack really offer? Also, is the auto OK, or should it be avoided?
  8. LOL! (So there was only ONE silver and ONE grey available at anytime - Thanks) Now... about the black interiors
  9. This 2006 brochure only lists "Gun Metal" and "Silver". - http://www.afsi.eu/sites/default/files/ ... n_350Z.pdf So:- - Is the "Silver" in the brochure "Blade Silver" or "Universal Silver"? And indeed were the other silvers/greys available at different times? ie: With the 2007 release for example? - What on earth is the difference between "Blade Silver" and "Universal Silver"? Confusing! EDIT:- From elsewhere in the forum "Universal silver came in on the 296 facelift model. Mine a 56plate with universal". So 03-06 it was "Blade Silver", and then 06 onwards it was universal silver? So for any given time there was only ONE SILVER COLOUR AVAILABLE? Is that then the same for "Twilight Grey" and "Gun Metal Grey"? So again, only one grey colour was available at any given time?
  10. Descriptions seem to vary? Are there really this many different silvers and greys? Or are there only about 3-4 and people are being lazy with their descriptions...? Anyone got a definative list of the silvers and greys? So far ones I've found, with images?:- Universal Silver Metalic Silver Aluminium Silver Blade Silver Blade Silver Metalic Metalic Grey Metallic Precision Grey Gun Metal Grey Twilight Grey Silverstone Grey
  11. Well, from that I can see, ignoring under the bonnet, the only exterior physical change is the bonnet, which changed in 2007? And then the interior changes in 2006?2007?
  12. AHA! The ONLY difference I can see is the bonnet!!?? Here's an 03 -http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-3-5-V6-03-53-18-Forged-Alloys-Full-Heated-Black-Leather-/270994614613?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f1889a955 Here's an 08 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-3 ... 3f18a964ed Cannot see any differences other than the bonnet!? Confused! And then this 2009 one has a difference bonnet again - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-GREY-350 ... 3f18192955
  13. Is anyone able to show me a couple of images showing even just the light cluster changes? Just can't seem to see anything
  14. Grrr... Looking through picture after picture after picture and can't see any differences
  15. I believe in 2006 the 350Z went through a revision, with a new engine under the bonnet, but also some (minor) body styling changes? Anyone got a list of those changes? Was hoping to find an article online with photo comparisons but couldn't find anythign!?
  16. +1 and for me Doh! It all gets into swing and round abouts... Imports are cheaper, but then the insurance seems about £200+ more a year, and typically they've been registered after Mar 2006 so another £200+ more on road tax. So if you save say £1500 on the vehicle, within 3-4yrs you've lost it due to more expensive insurance+road tax... The 350GTs are great value for money though. Far less than a 350Z and in my case far more practical... I'll phone up my local Nissan dealer out of interest and see if they are able to service them - ie: If something serious happens to one can they sort it out...
  17. £541 for an imported or UK 350Z £581 for an (imported) 350GT. The 350Z quotes are bad... Got quotes from comparethemarket for:- UK, less than £300 Import, £481 So a 350GT would (unless I can get it cheaper) cost £300 more a year to insure than a UK 350Z!
  18. Thanks... I'll give them a buzz... Seems daft if the two are vastly different to insure considering they share so much. Maybe it's teh fact parts for the 350GT would be hard to get?
  19. I'm looking at getting either a 350Z or a Skyline 350GT. Now it seems the insurance for a 350Z (for me) is excellent! £300 or less! I'd love to get a 350GT, but only if the insurance is not too bad. So anyone able to suggest somewhere to get a good quote for one? I phone my existing insurances (for my modified 200SX), A-Plan, and they came back with:- 350Z = over £500 350GT = over £700 ...so these quotes didn't seem very good, considering a couple of placed have been £200 cheaper on a 350Z... I really wouldn't want to be paying over £700 a year for insurance! ps: If anyone has any experience of a 350GT I'd welcome their opinions...
