  1. Im after a set of front wings and any style of bonnet in the factory blue. Had an unfortunate incident in which bonnet was left open on a windy day. All three panels are a write off : ( .

Am also after late spec door cards and knee pads to complete interior upgrade as well as late A/C ECU.

I am Poole area but can travel for the right parts at the right price.

  2. I have this problem have fitted entire 2006 spec but can't find knee pads and originals won't fit. If anyone has 2006+ knee pads would be interested. Have all original pre 2006 console/dials/heater controls if anyone wants to buy.

  3. Hi Im from round swindon way too, did you get the bumper done? I had my whole car sprayed by JP Body repairs in swindon last year after they did a nice job on an m3 evo I had few years ago. End result was dissapointing with slight orange peel all over and front bumper paint now cracked. Went back to get fixed but he wants to charge full amount as he says the primer already on the car was not correct (would have thought he should have fixed this before spraying).

Long story short now looking at getting bumper re-done and don't really want to pay them to do it. Def would not recommend them as you just dont know how their work will turn out they even charged me for materials when I asked them to do the roof again as finish was unacceptable first time.

Would appreciate it if you could let me know how you got on so can get mine done. Also I work in Plymouth if you still have any contacts in devon/cornwall that might be better.

Believe BMW swindon use Dick Lovatt spraymaster VERY expensive.

  4. Just fixed my bose unit after a jam. Very easy took about 30 mins. Basically unit double feeds discs causing jam. There are about 6 grub screws along top cover of player. Remove these and pull top off. You can now see into player and see jammed discs. Plug harness in and press eject. Gently manipulate discs as unit is not strong enough to pull disc out that is jammed against other disc. Now eject all discs and replace lid. Unit should now function fine. Have had several hundred trouble free disc changes since.

Will check spare radio when I find it for number of screws and take pics. Hope this helps and saves people some money.

  5. Just fitted this system to my car. Very simple install smply remove gear surround trim and radio/cubby trim. The cubby is screwed off and unit with new cubby screwed in its place. Wires for USB and RGB then get routed behind radio and through center armrest to rear cubby, I pulled mine through phone cradle opening.

Only wiring installation is one thin twin core wire which gets fed to front cig lighter. If you remove radio bracket no further trim needs to be removed. Wire can be fed into passenger footwell then pull connector from back of lighter. Trims can now be replaced. Wires are same colour as car ones so easy to identify. Either splice on or open up connectors and crimp up again with with new wires in place as I did. Now push connector back onto lighter and tidy wires behind trim. Install complete. Can be done in well under an hour. This is an exellent system doubt there is anything better out there and certainly not at the price.

  6. I have just got a 2003 UK spec GT. Noticed I was getting no hi beam on investigating realised the lights have been upgraded to bi xenon but the high beam bulbs just glows rather than firing up properly. I suspect the previous owner may have simply connected the ballast from the single HID unit to the normal beam and not fitted a second ballast. Does anyone know if this sounds at all likely or is this possibly caused by something else?

Any advise on the matter would be appreciated as currently have no hi beam  I realise I will prob have to remove bumper to do any work on them.

  7. Hi just fitted the factory system took about 2 hrs cost £350 from ebay, very easy to install but make sure you get the loom that connects dvd to screen. Also brackets that hold dvd drive in place and facia panel that replaces passenger cubby hole will be required as nissan cant supply them.

The system is ok but update disks are very expensive and you cant input postcodes so aftermarket may be way to go. Heard of Nissan quoted region of £500 for 2009 disk

Does anybody have the original double din radio mounting brackets? Am putting BOSE back into my GT as it had been replaced by previous owner, Nissan want nearly £100 for 2 stamped metal brackets
