  1. Cheers Stew, unfortunately hadn't seen your response before going and so... did buy all 3 steps! And some new applicatiors etc... It's a start though, and having spend around 6hrs on it yesterday it really is looking which is more than can be said for my cut & crippled fingers! Front end was a mass of bug splats & marks, had to work hard at it... Will give the Gold Class line a try next time, thanks. Had to really resist opting for the Autoglym HD, for the time being it's a tad pricey for me!
  2. Sorry Mike - not up to speed with where to raise non-Z non-tech posts... i did look though!
  3. ... oh plus you get the job lot, centre pipe etc. I've got it in 'watched items' in case mine ever goes!
  4. Hi there, Welcome to the forum! I actually had exactly the same problem 2 weeks after having bought my Zed! Luckily I know a good mechanic, he managed to fix it back together no problem, took him no time at all so i'd try that first. Even if you only get another 6 months out of it. I've had it 3 months now, and I give it some here and there and it's holding nicely failing that, could get a Nismo sounds nicer than the standard zorst but not blaringly loud - have a look at youtube to hear the note. Someone on ebay selling them in US but shipping to Europe, see previous thread: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=26272&p=381884&hilit=nismo+ebay#p381884 Granted, bit more to spend but worth it
  5. Just for info, if anyone is looking for stuff - all brands covered. I've been mulling over all the products myself at polished bliss etc. and planned to buy bit by bit (since there's some expensive stuff)..... however based on this offer & availability of Megs at Halfords, may aswell make the most of it; think I'm looking at: 1. Megs Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner Step 1 2. Megs Deep Crystal Car Polish step 2 3. Megs Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax Step 3 Is this a good setup? Or would you recomend looking at the Gold Class stuff, or NXT Generation stuff? Already have microfibre cloths etc. There's a Gold Class wash & wax kit for £16.99 which seems reasonable... Help much appreciated!
  6. I had EXACTLY the same email when selling my Golf! I reported it to autotrader and removed email contact from the listing; any serious enquirers will actually phone you rather than email
  7. Hi, i'm only having a stab here but guessing it's a Jap import? As far as I'm aware they didn't have them installed... someone else might know better though
  8. Happened on my Golf, and could hear metal on metal clanging - turned out half the inner brake pad broke off and sat rattling round in the metal plate / dust guard.
  9. A belated thank you for advice on the foaming products (damn work internet only has a short window before it blocks certain sites!). Tbf it cost me next to nothing for the nozzle, if it sucks I'll try other stuff. Like the sound of the Meguiars shampoo, might have to give that a blast. For years I used the Turtlewax Xtreme products, but got loads of Autoglym stuff at the min and it does a great job & very little water marking / residue. A lotta you folks on here really know your stuff though! The cars look
  10. Don't worry - I'm in the same boat as you, but I wait for other people to ask the questions first and listen to the responses On the back of this, gone and got myself a foam lance from t'ebay - Gilmour Foamaster II - without starting up a whole new thread, can anyone recomend a good thick foam shampoo to use? Mine needs quite a bit of attention at the front really, quite a bit of stuck on muck. Been looking at the meguiars claying kits, nearly bought one at the Leeds VW fest this weekend (I know, traitor!! Mate was showing his '67 Bug)
  11. Yeah no it's worth asking, I've tried both ways; the 'Phone' button and the 'Voice recognition' button, neither seem to work!
  12. Hmmm is baffling me this one! I've done the ending call on the actual phone and that's not worked either! Well, i'll dig out an old phone i have somewhere, albeit another sony ericsson, and give it a go. Good job I've not send off to 'envirofone.com' yet
  13. Hi, cheers for all responses & for the manual (i didn't have it!). Just tried again and all buttons work, sat outside and: Used voice dialling to phone home - fine Phoned the car from my landline - fine Redial function - fine But each time, even though the call has ended the 'Phone' function is fixed on the radio. I can either end the call from the landline end, or using the steering wheel button - the mobile then hangs up as instructed, but still no radio. pi$$ing me off! The phone's a Sony Ericsson C902
  14. Hi, just got myself a bluetooth unit and all installed absolutely fine, voice recognition setup etc... However... after a call, it won't exit phone mode i.e. won't go back to stereo. I've tried pressing the phone button, pressing the voice button, fiddling with the stereo - nothing! The only way I can get stereo back on is either picking up the phone and disconnecting bluetooth (what's the point of hands-free??) or switching the engine off. Surely I'm missing something - anyone please point me in the right direction?
  15. V nice bud and liking the black top - such a good look! Noticed yer front 'Z' badge in place of the Nissan one - where'd you get that? Prob the best I've seen, have been looking to replace mine but not overly keen on ones I've seen. Cheers
  16. Plenty angry driving rock music in mine! And then Elbow to calm me down for the last few miles... 1. Rage Against the Machine (self title) 2. Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles 3. Mix of Audioslave, Soundgarden, Metallica, System of a Down, Foo Fighters 4. Kasabian (self title) 5. Prodigy - Fat of the land 6. Elbow - Asleep in the back
  17. Judging by the attention it gets, not in the slightest!!!
  18. To put into perspective, I've just driven approx. 250 miles home from Edinburgh, and saw NOT ONE! Only saw 2 on the way up on Tuesday
  19. Yeah loving Stitchy's front splitter, I commented on that the other day but noone knows what it is! I'm staying relatively standard, but I think that's just subtle enough to tempt me...

Looks very nice that bud, very smart and understated. What front splitter is that / where from?
  21. Did Sauze D'Oulx in Ital for snowboarding in March - Awesome place, went last year too, and will be back next year! ... and I fly out to Vancouver for 2 weeks tomorrow - can't wait!
  22. Mint - much more up to date than Google Earth - i can see my red Golf & my mates sliver Celica outside my house... Google earth is some green car, so way before I bought the house (over 4 years ago)
  23. Sick, absolutely sick. The dreggs of society that will never amount to anything, if they can do that they're not fit for the streets - and you and I will wind up paying to keep them, in prison!!
  24. +1 Looks like they covered the front end with superglue and then ram-raided Halfords someone writes for Jeremy Clarkson
  25. As above, autosol & wire wool then buffed works an absolute treat I sometimes follow with a coat of Meguirs NXT metal polish too and they look
