  1. I know it's an old post, but does anyone have one of these? Usual story, someone lifted my passenger side one while the car was on my drive
  2. The whine I'm interested in, and the one most threads are on, is where it only does it when using the car from cold at around the 50 mph mark. I've seen it stated that it's an oil problem, be it transmission or diff oil, which would make a bit of sense as the noise goes away when warm. However, lots of people have changed both oils only for it to make no difference. I had my transmission oil changed with just that result. Other possibilities I've heard are throw out bearing and pilot bearing. With so many people with the same issue I'm surprised no one has managed to tie down the problem. Clearly it's not a massive issue but it's a pretty annoying one until the car/oil/whatever gets warm. Can anyone throw any answers at this?
  3. Anyone ever get this sorted? I've seen this mentioned on many forums without anyone definitely knowing what the issue is and how to solve it.
  4. I have a similar issue that's recently occurred. I went away for 2 weeks and when I came back the engine wouldn't run. It would fire up but die instantly. After about 5 goes at this I left it for a bit and came back. It started up but with the malfunction indicator on. I manually read the code which gave a 122 which is the Throttle Position Sensor (low). I reset the ECU and the car would start so I took it for a drive. About 5 miles in it went to limp mode. No error code this time so I restarted and since then (a week and a bit) it's been running without going to limp mode. HOWEVER, it's not running how it should. When warm the engine idles high at about 1100rpm. As other people have mentioned on here, when driving along when the accelerator is released it actually revs higher for a second before falling back and the fallback itself seems a bit lumpy. It did not do these things before I went on holiday. I'm relating this as some of the symptoms sound like other peoples (although obviously I've had an error code) so may have some relevance. The car will most likely be going into Abbey soon for other work but before I take it I'm going to clean the TB as suggested above and see if it makes any difference. I'll report back if I find out anything....
  5. Hmmm, there's a gunmetal one I've seen at The Angel Centre a few times, though I'm not sure it's a JDM.
  6. Just bought myself a 350z on Monday evening and went for my first decent distance (150 miles) drive last night. Got back home and parked on the drive and noticed the in neutral clutch released noise, made me quite concerned. Read this thread and feel much better, even about the odd random knock, as Gilly said. I will assume it's normal unless there's any change.
