Hi all So far really pleased with Cobra non resonated exhaust, its pretty loud at 4k but beyond this it seems to quieten down alot to the point to you cant really hear it. I do have pop chargers installed so not sure if taking these off would preserve the exhaust note more. what would be the next step to getting a better sound higher up the rev range? Cheers Alex

Face melting sounds good lol Yeh I must admit the cobra does drone but I think it's something I can live with. Not sure my girlfriend likes the drone, although she did fall asleep in the car the other day so il take that as a pass! One thing I miss from the stock exhaust is that classic fluttery sound you get when you take your foot off the gas pedal, does the R1 retain that?

Cool, what makes the amuse stand out from the other exhausts in terms of tone. The clips I've heard of it (yes exhaust clips sound better in real life) sound like the stock exhaust but a bit louder

I have the cobra non resonated, its pretty loud on throttle but does sound great, the drone is quite loud crusing at 60mph in 6th maybe with 2.5k rpm, mind you it only drones when you want to accelerate slightly, off throttle its quiete. I dont do many journeys so not a problem for me. Exhaust does sound great, but does slightly lose the burble tone you get when you release the accelerator with the stock exhaust, instead you get a pop and a bang... but still sounds great and not chavy. Hope that helps

Not long had the Cobra non resonated exhaust fitted and thats pretty Loud on acceleration. Does sound good, although its lost the burble chewbacca noise you get when lift off the throttle that the stock exhaust used to give. Drone is quite loud if cruising in 6th with about 2000 rpm but i dont do long journeys so not a real problem. Overall i would say the exhaust is louder at 3000 / 4000 rpm than it is high rpm, my dual popchargers overwhlem the sound when accelerating at high rpm.

Had the Cobra non resonated fitted yesterday and wow what a noise!! My first impressions were it sounded very close to how the GTR sounds. That deep smooth aggressive sound Really happy with it, pretty loud on throttle, but settles down when not accelerating. Quite abit of drone when cruising say in 6th gear and you start to accelerate but i guess thats what you get for having the non resonated. Cool, with stock exhaust when I boot it from 2.5k all I can hear are the pop chargers I have installed , so will hopefuly be nice to hear the exhaust more than the intakes. Is the car loud when you first start up from cold?

Lol hope I've chosen the right option, went for the cobra non resonated, just waiting for the delivery.. Can't wait tho! Is this system always loud when under normal driving?

Hi all Was pulling out of the drive yesterday to start a long journy to Goodwood FOS when i heard the exhaust starting to blow, seemed to of got worse along the journey. Been thinking of changing the exhaust system for a while now, so now seems a good time to change. Ive always had my eye on the 5zigen pro racer sp, although quite expensive i like the way it keeps the stock sound but louder. From reading posts on here i also read good things about the Cobra exhaust. Is there much difference in terms of tone between the cobra and the 5zigen? Listend to examples on youtube of the Cobra and liked the sound but felt the 5zigen sounded more stock but louder, which is what im after. Any thoughts would be much appricated Cheers Alex

hi guys wanting to wack a induction kit into my 350z but not wanting to much. Thanks guys, yeh I now it all sounds abit daft but only trying to learn About the car. Actualy was also trying out that iPhone app g-tac. Said my 0-60 was 7.5 seconds. Whether it's right or not I have no idea lol actualy had a go in my old type r yesterday and it seems so more urgent pulling away with more throttle response than what the zed feels. Once on the roll tho I feel the zed is pulling harder. Is it because the zed is heavier? Cheers guys

No I didn't dump the clutch so must of maybe burnt it. I did try to realse the clutch smoothly. would this of damaged the clutch? Only just got the car but did have a civic type r so high rpm on launch was kinda important. Guess this might not be the story with the zed what's the technique with feathering the throttle? Take it 4000 is way to much to launch at then?! Lol not sure if I feathed the clutch to much on launch. Would this cause the burning smell. Defintaly wasn't the tyres. Had the traction control on and it didn't even light up.

hi everyone just took the car for a spin down some private roads and tried a few drag launches. first time i revved the car to 4000 to launch, launched went into second and the clutch seemed to stick half way and then came back up again. after that i smelt a horrible burning rubber smell!!?? only just bought the car and its only just had a service. 313 engine with 20,000 on clock. do i have a clutch problem or did i not launch it correctly? little bit worried thanks alex

well going to phone the bloke and ask him some questions first, quite a drive from where i live. see if i can haggle him down to something like 17500

cool ive done a hpi check on it and all looks good its just a perfect spec for me and have been looking for a black 313 with sat nav and with that sort of millage for a while now.... just dont want to to make the mistake of buying and then getting problems
