  1. I've got an April 09 roadster 313 GT in Midnight Blue VGC for sale due to loss of license. 13,700 miles, new clutch, fly wheel, release bearing done under warranty c.1000 miles ago. No sat nav I'm afraid but I'll let it go for a very good price rather than having it sit around. PM me if it's of interest.
  2. Ok... new clutch and flywheel, problem was apparently the release bearing... hopefully have the car back in a few days - sods law one of the parts hasn't turned up as yet
  3. interesting... mines definately a 313 and it wasn't the slave cylinder, symptons completely different based on what I read last night. still waiting on the garage to confirm... will update when I know
  4. Hmmm - interesting question - was one of the last few roadsters sold mid April 2009, defo a 313, I'd be surprised if it had been sitting around that long but no idea to be honest. I'll look into it, may explain why they haven't got back to me to tell me what the actual problem was as yet!!
  5. Right... just had a nice phone call from WLMG Nissan in Mill Hill who have confirmed that Nissan are replacing the clutch under warranty with no arguments whatsoever... pleased is an understatement - I expected to have to put up a fight and at best a part cost to myself. They haven't told me what was wrong with it as yet but are going to come back to me to advise. Fair play to Nissan as I really didn't expect this outcome
  6. Nice idea - looks like they'll be doing under warranty though - going in next thursday. Bloody hell thats good of them, clutch under warranty, what Nissan stealership is that?! Will reveal once they confirm they're doing it - they seem to think they can get it done after only 11k - I'm not holding my breath though It's not even been driven hard ffs so if they don't do it I'll be very pi**ed off!!
  7. Nice idea - looks like they'll be doing under warranty though - going in next thursday.
  8. Thanks for that - figured not but 11k doesn't seem like a long time for one to last!!!
  9. another question - perhaps a silly one Would clutch issues be covered under the Nissan warranty if anything more serious? Or is it just treated as wear and tear etc? Cheers
  10. After a spirited run through Wales over the weekend and the drive back to London, as of yesterday I'm getting a delay in power delivery in 2nd and 3rd gears. 1st is fine, feels like the clutch is slipping in 2nd/3rd if I'm anything other than very gentle with the loud pedal... I can't quite put my finger on it but soemthing else doesn't quite feel right which is making me question whether it is just the clutch. I've not done a decent run since as live/work in central London... just canvassing for ideas/known possibilities. Car is 2009 313 roadster with 11k miles. Cheers...
  11. one of my side badges has disappeared!! Anyone got a spare floating about please? Cheers, Adam
  12. cheers guys, booked in with abbey now, needs the run out of London anyway
  13. Any suggestions people... 1st service due 11th April... want a decent place to do it and any Nissan dealer is a trek from where I live near Tower Bridge anyway. I'd prefer to go to an approved place but am fully aware some of these are shite anyway. If anybody can give anywhere the thumbs up I'd appreciate it!! Cheers
  14. I'm actually near Tower Bridge in London but have family all over Surrey who could take care of this for me as the car is now a weekend toy Where abouts in Kent? it's not that far!! ETA - doh - bit hungover, nr maidstone i see;)
  15. decided I'd bite the bullet and have settle with them for £600, I'll worry about getting it fixed once the money's in the bank, might gain a bit, might lose a bit
  16. just moved house and pc not set up at home, so pics a bit difficult - here's one pre-damage http://thumbsnap.com/v/XpxoRozG.jpg
  17. To cut a long story short, i was moving house a few weeks back and parked outside the lorry rental place, turned off the engine and SMASH... one of the guys who worked there reversed into the rear passenger corner. No big deal, @*!# happens!! it's taken a bit of paint of the bumber but wasn't bad enough to do anything other than cosmetic paint damage. The company have been straight about it but there insurance excess is £500 and the damage will be about that anyway so they're going to pay for it to get fixed. My issue is, i've taken it a couple of place, one wants to blend it, the other says no way respray the rear wing and the bumper... also having just moved i'm over committed and can't get this fixed for a few weeks. Any comments on blending (I'm not a fan) and would you just say to them send me the money 1st based on the quote? Also any decent bodyshops in the south/ central london area for the respray, quotes have varied from 500 - 1000 and all i care about is making it as good as new!!
  18. Thanks for the replies guys, I'll work out a budget and drop Envy a line
  19. I guess my user name has earnt it's stripes!!!... having been driven off the road in my s2k in January, writing the car off, walking out without a mark I decide on a Z and got my 09 roadster early April. I'd just run it in (subjective I know but didn't want to push it too hard until the mileage was in 4 figures) and last sunday i go and break my ****ing clutch ankle whilst harmlessly pissing around!! So now the car is sitting on the drive unused and looking sorry for itself. I'm considering lending it to a mate for the next 6 weeks just so it's being used, I've know him 1/2 my life and I know he'll enjoy and look after it so no problem there. My other consideration is to put some efforts into mods. Induction, exhaust etc. I'd like to improve engine noise, perhaps a bit of power and such but without going OTT. Not interested in cosmetic mods for the moment Getting around is going to be a problem so I'm wondering what you guys could suggest as a starting point with and links to visuals and sound if you can? Also any decent people to deal with in the South London/Surrey area, i can get the car taken places if necessary. Do Nissan invalidate the warranty if you do simple mods, this would be my only concern? Cheers all!
  20. right, got back late, weather was shite, but the car's all good . no recs on how long to run the engine before finding out what it can really do so taking it easy for the moment. but 250 on the clock already so won't be long. As it was raining i didn't notice a couple of scuffs on the boot lid where some idiot had leant over it with a zip or something cleaning it. But i've taken those out already and polished back to brand spanking!! Couple of q's: They had no mats in stock, what are the best mats to get, still got the dealers paper bits in there for the moment...?? Are the coupe mats the same as the roadster or is there a difference? Thanks for all the kind comments, I'm not disappointed at all, and even though they asked if i wanted to see the car before i paid i figured i'd got that far so paid them 1st then drove off Pics WILL follow, sun's due out here shortly!!!
  21. Well, after a 3 week wait I'll be on my way to pick up my 09 Roadster in a couple of hours. I've not even seen a pic of it yet, not driven one, nor sat in one... excited is an understatement... just hope I like it :-) Anything I should know that the dealer might not tell me, anything i should be checking?? Oh and hi all
