  1. He does the full lot, even interior repairs as well (although I can only vouch for the bumper repair job!) M
  2. Hi (not sure where to put this?) Don't know if this will be of any help to anyone but I just had a bumper repair job done (mobile) and wanted to share the results - I got quotes from about 10 different places, most ranging from £120 to £155 (Halfords!). Mark quoted this job @£90 +VAT, I was a bit skeptical but I checked and he has 6 years experience, guarantees his work for a year and uses a bodyshop quality 2 pack laquer. It was a pain in the neck trying to work out who was crap and who was good so I'm saving anyone in S.W London/Surrey a load of hassle. My pride and joy is restored (see the welcome forums 'New 350z Owner - Pleasure & Pain', I'm the guy who scraped his bumper off the garage after having the car for a week!). Here's his website (his name is Mark, nice bloke) http://www.autorefinish.org/index.html M
  3. Yeah maybe you're right, think the Elise is about 5 secs 0-60mph - or maybe the guy was just a crap driver! Surprised Type Rs would beat a 350z, aren't they 'bout 7 secs 0-60? M
  4. Yeah I can understand now - you know what its like tho, you get a new car and think the whole world wants to steal it! Thats why I wanted to keep it in the garage. I've had a bunch of quotes to fix it ranging from £90+VAT to £130. Apparently the best repair is a "2 Pack Laquer" which is bodyshop standard. I will let everyone know the repairers I eventually use and how good the job is - hopefully will help someone make the right choice if it happens to them and they are in the Surrey area. Best, M
  5. And we are only a few miles away in Chobham! Welcome to the forum. :bye: Glad you are enjoying the car, it is a real head turner isn't it. ...and I'm in between in New Haw. There's quite a few of us around here. Welcome! Sure i'll see you guys around! :bye:
  6. They have lots of scooby meets at the Fairmile now - how come there's no 350z ones anymore? M
  7. Carpet the garage I shall. It was a real psychlogical battle to put it in the garage after the scrape - kinda like getting back on a horse if you've ever fallen off one! Hope you gave that Z4 a good seeing to. Cheers, M
  8. Hi all, Great forum - glad to become part of the owners club! Bought my 07 GT Coupe last Friday and have been delighted with the cars comfort, performance and head turning capability! (Children look at this car - a sure fire sign that its naturally beautiful!). Small snag list : ***Bluetooth really quiet (I can't hear caller very well) - apparently this is a common problem with 350z's according to some of the forum posts ***The satnav doesn't have postcode search! ***No mats with the car - set me back £50 and still need to get the boot mat!! (although they do look the part!) After much discussion I managed to persuade my girlfriend to let me use the garage (so her MX-5 got turfed out) - unfortunately yesterday I put it in the garage scraping the front bumper on the way in! Totally gutted and have been in a huff since (much to my gf's bemusement - she's still coming to terms with being second best). Getting quotes to have it fixed, looking like £100-£130. My Zed held its own off the lights against a Dodge Charger (it also destroyed a Lotus Elise) so there is still a great deal of joy to be had in these temporary dark times. Anyway, much respect to all the 350z owners out there. M
