i think me and neil were the only lucky ones to witness it lol

flyhalf andy- do u have a new number plate ** AFE? saw it in east kilbride last week and one of the other stands

Yeh AFE is the last 3 initials! passed you on the road passed morrisons in EK, thats where my house is lol. Do you work in EK as have seen you a few times.

    .

  2. Andy bloody hell long time mate. Yup the wrap is great, much better than paint for stone chips imo, plus alot cheaper if it needs replaced etc. You get what you pay for with wraps............ Total dynamic are the best in Scotland without a doubt

haha i know mate its been a long time! but back on it now, just been too busy with work :(. Give me a shout next time your heading a run and ill meet up with you guys! The wrap does look the nuts and must agree with above that it is the in thing now! will need to get a swatch at the beast soon matey :D

  3. Looks like its Nissan it is then! Have you had the car long? Paint work was in mint condidtion, couldnt fault it at all. Always said to myself I would mod this one as have done it with every car since and you never get a return as expected lol but you have just convinced me. Do you get over speed bumps ok with it? Did the wheels last throught the winter with the salt or did you change them?

Have a good few pics but the mrs has the camera just now so will upload when i get it back... IF!! haha!

Jay - What you think of the wrap? It good quality etc? What about stone chips and all jazz?

  5. Was a great day guys! If only i hadnt came with a half tank and girlfriend that doesnt like windy roads and fast cars... if this was the case i would of made it to the end haha! Ended up turning back before dukes pass as didnt want to ruin it with going through it at 30 mph

Irfan take a gerry can for me next time haha!

Pics look great guys, even seen my tommy kaira badge in one at the start, definately sealed that i have to remove the 350z badge :teeth:

  6. Would it be better to go for 9.5 rear and 8.5 front then? Is this possible with a 17 offset?

Would profile of tyre would you's recommend guys?

    Thanks again! :)

  7. Hi Andy,

In the GTS in 19", you'd be wanting to go for the 9.5" front +17 & 10.5" rear +17, this is the most "aggressive" looking and will give you the biggest lip (94mm front, 107mm rear).

We are an official UK distributor for Rays/Volk Racing so if you need any help please don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Best Regards,

    Gaz

    Hi Gaz,

Would the car still handle ok with that width and +17 offset wouldnt have the wheel sticking too far out the arch would it? Was thinking of lowering it on tein suspension (14-17mm). Do you know if i would have any rubbing issues? Seen your website and that they come in various different colours, would it be possible for you to post pictures of them? And FINALLY my last question  are they on back order and what would delivery time roughly be please?

    Many Thanks

    Andy :)

  8. Just a quick note mate, both me and 3FIDDYZ have the Volk racing GTS alloys and although they are :cloud9: the polished lip won't (IMHO) last you through a winter unless you clean them after every journey.

Probably best to keep your current alloys for the winter (though you probably already know this) and run the volks in the summer or like me and 3FIDDYZ you will need to get them refurbed.

Anyway, the Volks are nice so good luck in finding some

Was planning on keeping my rays to put back on when winter comes. Does the lip last through summer? guessing it is the salt on the road that rips it apart :console: . Do you have a few pics of them? Ive got a twilight grey zed and was thinking silver as opposed to a gunmetal center... Also what size/width and offset have you got?

    Thanks

    Andy

  9. Been looking at a set of Volk Gts wheels in 19 inch and am im correct in saying that roughly a 20mm offset would be ok? PLanning on lowering the car on teins but dont want any rubbing issues (if i can avoid it :scare: ). Where would be the best place to get a set as it looks like ill be importing them

Sorry if this topic has been covered before guys, any helps appreciated :)

    Lol tut tut

Ok meeting At govan's asda for 12 30 on the 31st of this month. Have a wee chat and look round each others cars. Through the clyde tunnel up to calander basically which has some gorgeous scenery and some testing twisties. Quick drink in the local pub (soft drink ofcourse) then back to glasgow. All in about 85 miles. There is a small convoy leaving from Giffnock so you could meet us there if you like?

Can I add your name to the list?

Sounds good! Add me to the list :D

  12. The correct choice depends mainly on what year your car is, and how low you want to go with it. Nissan changed shock valving specs in mid 2004 production, so it plays a big role. Keep in mind Tein also offers 2 springs for the Z (STech and HTech - rates and drop level varies), as does Eibach (Pro Kit and Sportline). What's more, overall 'comfort' of a spring has as much to do with the tires you are using as it does to the spring rate you have. Both have to play well together. If you post some more details about your current or intended setup, it will be easier to make a proper recommendation

Adam, its an 07 plate zed and was going to run a set of 19inch volks. is there much difference between the two eibach or tein sets? What would you advise? Feel the back sits a bit hight just now so was really just to close the gap, not too stiff but enough not to be feeling like a bus

    Cheers

    Andy

For an 07 I'd choose the Tein S Tech

    Awesome thanks adam!

  13. Yeh sure was mate, just seen you at last min and waved as your gf was being nosey  . Where abouts in glasgow you based? Car was looking B) ! Was it just nismo spoiler you had?

NO NO i have quite a few subtle mods check my sig. I am from giffnock mate just down from ek. Where are you based? Why dont you get your name down for the big Glasgow Meet on the 31st? Your car was looking well mate B) I put my foot down as i thought i saw a zed then when i did u where lookin cool with you shades on  Anyway get your name down for the meet buddy. The more the merrier.

Paul I kno mate so many bloody roundabouts in Ek but it was just before the shopping centre lol and didnt have a clue the name of the roundabout hhaha.

Im based in EK so 5 minutes away from giffnock! Yeh read the post and up for the meet, where about is it? Was a few locations mentioned there  . Haha rain hail or shine, you gotta have the shades on B). Car was looking well smart! Most ive got is a nismo gear knob just now, its all in the pipeline i.e. on order :teeth:

  14. Should be able to make the 31st as I'm based in Greenock

    Hey mate,

Girlfriend stays In inverkip, passed your house many a time looking to try and spot who owns that shiny red zed . Did you do the mods yourself or did you buy it like that?

    Andy :)

  15. Im looking at an exhaust system for my 07 plate zed but not too sure on what to go for. Im wanting it louder than stock but not "too" loud if you know what i mean. Enough to hear that V6 note B) but would you recommend having one custom made or buying the like of Nismo etc? Have had custom exhaust on previous cars but not too sure for the zed

    Cheers

    Andy :)

Where are you based mate? I have a custom zorst on my car and i love it. Just a little louder than standard and has a crackin note to it when your playing lol
