Thanks have just done that. Yeah Honeymoon was so good I'm not even that pi**ed yet about the mirror..... yet!

Have come back from my Honeymoon today to find my passenger side door mirror missing.... it looks to me like it's been smashed off by someone as the electric mirror is missing and the bracket bit it sits on snapped off. They were folded in and whilst it looks like it was on purpose it could be an accident - either way it's a pain in the arse welcome home present! I've only had a quick look and doesn't look like it will be tricky to replace but need to find the part. How much are they from the dealer and better does anyone know where they can be easily sourced from? I can start trawling through scrap merchants but wondering if there is an easier way that won't break the bank (2004 350z GT, electric folding & aluminum/silver btw). Also if anyone thinks it's not as straightforward a fitting job as it looks (the cables look intact enough) then pls let me know. Thanks Luke

Can anyone reconmend a decent specialist in Leeds? I'm tired of going to Nissan garages who quote ludicrous prices for straightforward jobs, but equally would like to take my 350Z somewhere that actually sees the odd one here and there and knows what they are doing. Had a trawl through some of the posts and a look through google but struggled to find anywhere obvious. Any help in particular with a specialist would be appreciated. Cheers

Ok, so it was the button that was disabling the window.... I had so many problems with it in the last couple of weeks (engine mis-fire and exhaust broke) one after another that I just thought it was something else going wrong! Cheers for the assistance and apologies for being a doofus! I'm glad I didn't take it back to the garage.....! btw - had the car for 6-months, best car I've ever owned and despite the recent problems I've had it's well worth it for such a brilliant drive. My 04 Zed has been in the garage with some engine problems but all sorted now. An Auto Electrician finally solved the problem however since getting the car back I've got a problem. The passenger window won't open from either passenger or driver switches. I can't hear any clicking or the motor trying at all. However, when I open & close the door can clearly see that the window has power as the (automatic) slight opening & closing that the windows do works fine. Therefore leading me to think that something was unblocked / broken during diagnostics, but clearly nothing to do with the motor and/or the main power to the window - but instead something to do with the 2 switches themelves. Not sure where to start with this (as if it is the power will checking the fuse do any good?) - obviously I can take it back to the garage but it's a pain for something that might be v straightforward if it's just the switches?? Any help greatly appreciated! Luke
