  2. It is also more expensive if paying by monthly direct debit. My quote from admiral was £460 for a one off payment but that rocketed to £695  if paid by direct debit. I have always expected it to be a bit more on the monthly but £235 more is taking the pi55. Needless to say I managed to find the one off payment.

  3. HA HA HA yeah being a supplier (my trade) it's pretty easy to make friends down there to.

Hi Smudge nice motor. Suprised we haven't bumped into each at some point. I'm at Eurofighter land and a Supplier also, and been to the Falklands 3 times. Loads of pics but don't want to bore anybody. I know what it's like sitting through viewings of other peoples holiday snaps

I could put a pic of my Zed up but I'm afraid I'm just too darn ugly to have my face plastered all over the internet. :yuck:

Only kidding, I'll post this one only !! That's me in the red top B)

  4. It's called introductory discount. they get your business by undercutting your present renewal and then jack it back up a year later in the hope that you can't be arsed to shop around  .

Yup, they all do it, although every company I've ever had any insurance with have immediately honoured the new quote if you go online and sign up again as a new customer. Always shop around, and at the least get a quote as a new customer with your current insurer. Last year with Admiral, I got the usual renewal letter, did an online quote, called them up and the very helpful chap then said he could do better and knocked me another £75 off. I was absolutely amazed :scare:

Will be trying Chris Knott this time around too now the missus is 25 :yahoo:

Yep, same here. Just got a renewal with Admiral today which I was amazed to see was almost £200 more than the quote I can get when I go through the process as a new customer. Needless to say I will be phoning them with the new quote to make sure that's what I get...AT LEAST.

  5. HOME

    Own Build:-

    Motherboard- ASUS Rampage II Extreme

    RAM- Corsair XMS3 DDR3 12gb

    CPU- i7 975 (overclocked running at 4.2)

    HHD- 2 x 500gb

    Graphics- 2 x GeForce GTX285

    OS- Windows 7

And it's off line at the moment as I need to change the PSU.

  6. Welcome mate :welcome: As already said, depending on where you are located then P3 Major service is less than £300 (mine was £218 in Manchester to give an indication) And as for your budget I picked up my 54plate FNSH 12month warranty UK Zed a year ago with less than 24000miles on the clock, 20" Alloys, K&N Typhoon, after market exhaust & NISMO embroidered leather seats for less than £11500 so there are bargains out there. Takes a while to find the one for you but when you do you will be the happiest person on the planet.

Keep up the search and good luck
