Hi all
I think my clutch is on the way out (slips when pulling away on an incline on rare occasions). I've done a search on the forum but never seem to get the results I'm looking for
Anyway, can any one enlighten me as to what to expect to pay for a clutch. I'm not interested in any mod ones, just the standard one will do.
Thanks

My wife used to call me 'Dastardly' on occasion, so my Clio Sport 182 was called 'Mutley'. I loved whacky races as a nipper
My Z is called 'THE BEAST'

Hi all
Thanks for the advice. I have fitted some of the Richmond silver ones from Halfrauds.
Yesterday, when I returned to my car after work, the little F*****s had obviously been back and thought MM MMMM, more nice shiny valve caps to thieve; I knew they'd had a go as the brake dust on the wheels had been disturbed (I hadn't washed the car purposefully so I could check ). Would have loved to have seen their disappointed faces when they realised their attempts were futile

Some thieving scum has had 2 of my shiny Z valve caps away Ok, its only 2 valve caps but nevertheless, very annoying.
Anyone know if the locking type caps are any good or are they likely to damage the thread of the valve. The only ones I've found so far are on fleabay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-3 ... ccessories
Any other suggestions??

Hi Nathan
Nice Coupe I used to own one myself and occasionally frequented the coupe forum. I loved mine and was very sad to let it go, especially when I traded it in gainst a Clio 182
The 350Z is very different to the coupe but I'm sure you will love it when you find a good example, plus, this forum is better than the coupe one
Good luck with the hunt!!

Update: Been to Nissan and they have diagnosed the code as being an oxygen sensor somewhere in the exhaust. They also said that the same code had been reset before.
But the best bit, they didn't charge me

Thanks for the advice guys. The only thing I did out of the ordinary was go to the red line in 2nd gear on the way to work, then the car felt slightly lumpy in 3rd gear doing 30mph (or could have been the road surface, wasn't sure). Otherwise, all is functioning as normal.
I'll pop her down to the local Nissan garage tomorrow for a diagnostic; best to be safe rather sorry if its something serious.

ive got the 3 stage, i use 1 pad for each stage to apply the product, then the microfibre to remove, stage 1 and stage 2 you shouldnt let to dry to much, do a panel at a time and then remove product, stage 3 you can let dry then remove once whole car is covered
Cheers, thats answered my question 100% Cant wait to give it a go, I may even get a clay bar kit and go for the full monty Will post pictures on a new thread (before and ater) when I do it.
Thanks all for your help.

Lots of good info in here.
Thanks, I'll be having a good long read!!

Thanks Stew. The reason I asked is because on the packaging it says "For smooth application of lotions, gels, dressings and protectants. Ideal for use on all leather, vinyl and rubber surfaces" It does not say specifically for applying things such as wax to the paint. Just worried that they may scratch the paint
Prior to joining the forum, I'm afraid that I have to admit to only ever using just wax, applied with a yellow house duster. After reading on the forum, I can see that I have a lot to learn in the department of car detailing; I'm looking forward to getting some good results

Hi all, I'm looking for a little advice. I've bought myself the Meguiars stage 1 2 and 3 products after reading quite a few threads on the forum and managed to get some Meguiars soft foam applicator pads cheap. My question is, what exactly can/should I use these pads for? Are they suitable for applying my stages 1 2 + 3 or should I be using microfibre cloths for this?? So far, I haven't managed to find the answers i'm looking for on the forum, despite using the search button
Any advice/help appreciated

Think I agree, but there is a fine line sometimes between being cool and chavvy; the 350z is def NOT chavvy!! I love mynew baby

I presume £300 is just for the part and fitting would be on top of that?? I was expecting it to be more like £600 so not too bad
