  1. Now sold guys. Don't have a 350 anymore but hope to be back in a decent car in the next couple of years. Company car is the route I reluctantly go down. A3 Black Edition 2.0 TDI 170 is coming my way in December. Nice enough car but not a patch on the 350, especially going to miss the sound of the NISMO!
  2. Hi all, I have just uploaded an advert for my car to Pistonheads so I thought it best to put it on here too seeing as the past three owners of the car (me included) have all been members on this forum! Here is the link to the advert on PH --> http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1931988.htm Here is the text of the advert; For sale is my '53' plate, November 2003 registered 350Z. This is a UK car and therefore has the benefit of being easier and less costly to insure than an import. Well cared for and low miles (currently around 42,500). The previous two owners are members of the 350Z owners club, as am I, so the car has always been well cared for and looked after. It has also not been tracked. I have owned this car for the past 19 months and have enjoyed it massively; the only reason for selling is the dreaded diesel company car coming my way in the near future. The car is in Gunmetal Grey and is the GT version which therefore has many of the options people look for including; Full Alezan leather interior (Seats, Steering Wheel, Gear Knob, Handbrake) Rays alloys (lightest OEM alloys on the 350Z) Heated Seats Cruise Control Brembo Calipers front & back (front brake discs & pads new in December 2009 - Ferodo DS2500 pads with ECB Discs. Rear pads (matching DS2500) new in March 2010) Bose Stereo (In-dash 6 CD player, Sub-woofer etc.) Special upgrades to this car are; Rear parking sensors (upgrade over and above GT pack) Nismo cat-back exhaust (superb sound, not overly loud but makes the most of the lovely V6 noise) Bluetooth hands-free system 'Z' badges replaced the stock 'Nissan' badges front and rear Other features of the car include; Electric Adjustable Seats Electric Windows Xenon headlights ABS Switchable ESP Climate Control/ Air Conditioning Heated & electric mirrors Driver, Passenger & Side airbags Alarm & Immobiliser Remote Central Locking 350Z Mats Full Nissan Service History Last service on 21/12/2009 (P1) and this included a coolant change. Next service not required for 6,000 miles or 5 months (P2). Major Service (P3) not required for 24,000 miles or 30 months (2.5 years). MOT until 11th November 2010. Tax due end of October 2010 (£245 a year due to registration date of 2003. 2006 and newer are now £435 a year). Has been run on fully synthetic premium oil (Silkolene Pro S). I have had the boot struts replaced for new upgraded versions which now hold the boot up with no problems. The standard boot struts are renowned for failing as were mine when I bought the vehicle. The car has also had a full set of brand new tyres fitted in March 2010, meaning that ongoing running costs are kept to a minimum with brakes and tyres in nearly new condition. The alloys are in superb condition with no scuff marks at all. I have the full set of main & spare keys that came with the car as well as masses of documents relating to the servicing and purchases for the car (tyres etc). Asking price is £11,500 OVNO. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions as I will be glad to answer them. Please no contact from agencies or canvassers. If anyone on this forum would like to know more please don't hesitate from dropping me a PM, email or emailing through the PH advert. Any questions/ comments etc are welcome. Thanks, Rich
  3. Thanks for that Rich - sounds like a useful contact you have at your Just Tyres! Will bear that in mind when sorting my next set out. Thanks
  4. Hi guys, When you use camskills what do you do to get them fitted? Cheers, Rich
  5. I think it's cool you've got the evo car. Got the magazines it features in still too! Web link for people who don't know what we're talking about - http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evolong ... _350z.html That's the first one, more links to the other editions below the story.
  6. I had a similar problem and it was the crankshaft position sensor that was loose. Check the details here - viewtopic.php?f=64&t=19425 Hope that may be of some help
  7. Welcome, you have a great looking Z! Awesome rims. The 111R also looks good - have been having some thoughts about those recently - not sure if I want the Z to go for one... Hope you enjoy your Z!
  8. Great write up there, seriously thinking about going sometime soon now! Thanks for all of the info.
  9. Purposefully looked for Alezan when looking for 350's - I love it but can understand why some people don't.

    Boot Clips

Thanks Chris - that sounds easy enough so will give it a go later today!

    Boot Clips

Good idea - probably worth a shot if I can't find one to pick up from somewhere. I might ask Nissan how to get hold of one and hope they don't charge silly money for a piece of plastic... What's the best way to get them out without breaking them? Cheers, Rich

    Boot Clips

Hi guys, I bought a cargo net for the boot and have now realised that I am missing one of the clips in the boot for the net to clip onto. It is the clip at the bottom right of the boot. Does anyone know where I can get a new clip from? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Rich
  13. I had a loose harness on a Camshaft Position Sensor and it caused all sorts of trouble too. What's up with these things getting damaged like they do? viewtopic.php?f=64&t=19425
  14. I also got mine through the latest group buy and I fitted them (along with some help) on Saturday. Pretty straight forward to change and make a real difference to getting things in and out of the car!! Great little modification and even though they aren't exactly 'cheap' they are a lot better value than Nissan's OEM struts!

    How Old??

    24, could only manage a Clio 182 at 21...
  16. My Dad has just bought one of these, picks it up on 1st April (no I don't think it will be an April Fools!). What's the performance like compared to a 350? I think they look great and very much looking forward to getting to drive it a bit. Superb value for money.
  17. I was looking at the Astra VXR before I went on the hunt for a Z. Had a blast in one of them around Thruxton on a VXR day - cracking car!
  18. Hello and welcome - recognise you from Cliosport. Think we've both commented on each other's 350Z posts on there!

    Average Mpg ?

Short drive to work (4 miles) and general longer trips around, not light on the accelerator when I get a chance on longer drives and I am seeing around 19.5mpg at the mo. I did reach 18's when warming through the ice and snow last week. Oh well, the noise makes it all worthwhile
  20. Follow the link I dropped in my post, post number 10 and it even has a link to all the codes. You could then give searching this forum for the code a go and see what comes up. Or just add the code onto this thread of yours and I'm sure you will get some help. Here's the link for the codes - http://www.my350z.com/forum/forced-indu ... codes.html Hope that helps!
  21. You may as well do the check before you reset the ECU. Just manually read the code and see if it tells you anything. Then after the flashing has finished you can just reset it in the same sequence by holding the pedal down for another 10 seconds. Switch the car off and the MIL should be gone when you next start it up. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... =ecu+reset Post number 10 is what you want to follow.
  22. Nissan Aldershot - Terrible service KJM Nissan Reading - Good service
  23. Hi all, I have a 53 reg 350 and been having problems with a Malfunction Indicator light error since mid January. I've had some great help and advice from DiggZ and ZMANALEX throughout and have now got to the bottom of the problem via two Nissan dealers. I read and cleared the error which seemed to solve the problem but only for a couple of days, after this point the problem would present itself every time the car was started up and driven even if the MI was reset. It located the error to P0340 which is the Camshaft Position Sensors. I assumed that it was one of the sensors that was starting to fail and got it booked in for a proper check and Diagnostics Check from Aldershot Nissan. They found the error related to the Bank One sensor and suggested it got replaced. They also noted that the harness was slightly loose and apparently tried to sort it by using a cable tie or similar... Anyway this did nothing to help but gave me the confidence (after questioning the guys at Aldershot) to order the sensor and get the work done. KJM Nissan in Reading sounded a hell of a lot more helpful from the off and offered to do the work for a little less money, so it was booked in for today. Turned up at my allotted time and the car got taken in for the sensor to be replaced. I also passed them the notes from Aldershot to ensure they were up to date with what had been found previously. Short while later I was informed it wasn't the sensor that had a problem at all but just the harness being loose causing the problem. In the end the mechanic did change the sensor but also spent some time mending the harness with some liquid adhesive so that the sensor still works as necessary, can be taken out but also doesn't trip the error any more. They also left me with my older but still fully working sensor in a box. Aldershot Nissan were crap all the way through with their staff being poor at communicating and generally unhelpful. They also seemed very happy for me to go along and spend the money for a new sensor which wouldn't have sorted the problem. Luckily KJM in Reading are an honest bunch and sorted the problem. Sorry for the essay here but thought it might help someone in the future. Also I would strongly advise against getting any work done at Aldershot Nissan and would happily recommend KJM Nissan in Reading. The error due to the loose harness also threw up the 'ESP off' light along with the 'skid' light and right before these were activated the engine would lose responsiveness and power for around two seconds.
