  1. BLACK. But I bought a Gunmetal Grey one as this is just as cool, but doesn't require polishing daily to look good. As previously said, at night or under artificial light the colour/shades changes and looks mint.
  2. Your balls must have started shrinking
  3. 5 weeks and I may just bump into you! Slim possibility I'll be driving my 350Z too if it doesn't sell. Surely after seeing most of the sunshine state you don't want to come back to this? Enjoy the whitsundays
  4. Check out the modifications section... I have one and can vouch for the clean installation and excellent sound produced
  5. You can't knock a MK1 Golf. Problem with VW's is that they are majority FWD and/or are too heavy for the power they have I reckon. I've had a MK1 GTI, a MK2 GTI 16V, and currently I do have a MK4 GTI-T and its a good car, but not a 'drivers' car. The new 4WD MK6 Golf Turbo (265bhp) looks pretty effing good! Not sure I'd want to pay £30 for a Golf though. Never, ever, liked the VW Beetle, and by the way, the dirty Beetle was designed and built by Nazis, for Nazis. With this in mind I wouldn't even sit in one.
  6. Completely agree, also the rotary requires are-build at I think approx 50k
  7. Surely if you have the air intake cut out of your front bumper in front of your cone filter and you are driving into heavy rain at approx70mph, your filter would get soaked?? Granted the air flow would hopefully dry this out, but would this affect the engine at all?
  8. With the engine running and a multi-meter across your battery terminals you should be getting a steady voltage as close to 12v DC as poss. Check if maybe your battery is dry, and possibly the tension of your alternator belt.
  9. your wheels fill the arches like mine, could you let me know if they rub when cornering hard? cheers
  10. As far as I know, when you buy a 370Z your first years road tax is £750 That would buy a pretty good exhaust system for my 350
  11. Common fault on the stereo I think. Worth paying extra for the GT pack wasn't it.
  12. The ticking does stop after the car has cooled, i.e. I never hear it when I drive it first thing in the morning. That would be REALLY confusing.. I think exhaust may as well be the problem here. When I walked around the car, the noise is coming from not just the rear wheels area, but also middle part of the car. But I don't really expect the exhaust to be doing any work after the engine is turned off? since it is only NA, not a turbo car.. The car has been serviced recently in July and has had full main dealer service history. ...As in the metal expanding when heated and contracting when cooling. Not 'working' as such but non the less altering state slightly. E.g. heating a bi-metallic strip that flexes and curls when hot and returns to it's original state when cooled, just like one of those 'mood fish' you get in a christmas cracker
  13. Do you hammer it when you drive? After I've been out in mine, if the window in the front room is cracked or open, I can hear my exhaust and brakes cooling from inside my house for a while due to the heat that passes through them. If your car is making sound when it's still and un-running, I would be surprised if it was a mechanical fault as nothing should be in motion?? Get under it next time and see what you can see?
  14. Lets hope you're not gonna stuff it on your first proper drive if it's gonna be on the track.
  15. Indeed. Dirty music which sounds like audible vomit. -how come you appear 'offline' when you're not?
  16. Love minis, a mate of mine has a civic type-r Z cars mini. I always fancied one but couldn't cope with the epic battle against the rusting panels, and hinges, and engine bay, and roof, and floor panel, and engine, and seat rails, and battery tray, and ash tray
  17. The clicking rear axle from my experience is only a noise to be heard when moving forwards or backwards whilst in gear, I noticed the noise on mine never sounded when I took my car out of gear and simply coasted. I had the CV joint replaced under warranty to rectify, so doubt very much this is the case with yours if the noise is apparent when stationery. Is it expansion and contraction from your exhaust? (does the ticking stop after the car has cooled?)
  18. Oh well, I tried to help. So did I, brother. She's so ungrateful! Are we related?
  19. It depends on whether or not you are on a sealed or pressurised system. Bleeding your rads could cause you some problems depending what system/chb you have. If you have f/e tanks in your roofspace you should be fine providing you have no pressure gauge on your boiler. If you still need advice, I do this for a living, so pm with your number and I'll call you and talk you through it.
