Second hand car prices are rising (if we beleive what the media says). Hang on in there if you can.

Are there any car delears on the forum? Can they confirm or dismiss what the media are telling us about second hand car prices?

I think your right about the second hand car prices, the dealer on thursday snapped my hand off and did'nt try to knock me down, like i have said in one of my previous post i wish i'd marked it up maybe a grand or two more

cargo net to hold item in the boot from rolling around this has been taken out of my old car(hardly used) & Stubby aerial to replace the telegragh pole on stock motors again off my old car, also come across the 350Z emblem finished in brushed steel aswell.........prices are listed below

The wording of my ad has changed a lot over the months (yes thats how long it been advertised). This current form is now a more desperate attemt at getting people to realise that my car is good value for money, compared to other roadsters out there. But heh if you guys think that this is not how you read it then maybe I should edit AGAIN!!!. Suffice to say, I have sold 4 Supras in the past 3 years (2 in the last 10mths) and all have gone is around a week.

 

I personally think that these cars are not that sort after, and if I am honest are not that good really, which is why I want to get back to the Supra. Shame cos I really wanted one of these they look so awsome, especially with a Nismo body kit, but they are never gonna perform well, even with some of the Turbo/Supercharger upgrades, and these are tremendously expensive. I think the 300ZX is better. I know I am gonna get shot down over this comment.

 

I know nobody is slating the car, we can all see its a good one, I looked for a while before I got it. It is a fine example with everything working as it should and has had some great upgrades, especially the brakes.

 

Any ideas for the ad would be appreciated, maybe I should advertise on ere too.

I suppose we are all different some like certain things in a car and others like something else, if the Zed did not tick all the boxes for you does'nt make it a bad car and like wise it did tick my boxes but that also does'nt make it a good car.

Has far as i know you can post your car for sale on here provided you have submitted 50 or more posts in total, looking at your profile you meet that requirement (unless the amount has been adjusted?

Hey guys, been a member for a few months but never posted before so first post woohoo.

 

 

Off to see a Z at the weekend and just seeing if any of you experts got some tips for me. Not really bought a car before from a private seller so any pointers would be much appreciated.

I'm sure if you put a few details of the car you are going to see...age would help, then members on here would have more incite on what you should look out for.

Any car will sell in any climate, if priced right

This is nearly true, but at what cost 10K for a 58 plate!!!!! My roadster is one of the cheapest in the UK with some good modifications but it still has not sold, so am reluctant to believe that even keenly priced cars are selling. You really do have to knock it down to stupid money, then what are you achieving. Unless you can knock your next cars value down 20% or more, but thats a bit of a risk.

nikbiomed i'm confused does your car have sat nav or not, towards the start of the advert where your are pointing out all the negatives on the car.....

"Bear in mind that the cheapest Roadster I can find on the market is £10,995 and it has basic wheels, brakes, cloth seats, no satnav, standard stereo system and is not a very desirable colour. You cannot even get a basic 350Z for much less than this with good mileage."

Then you go on to say the ........

"Birdsview Sat Nav (seem nice this) with automated cover/flap. This works perfectly so can only presume this has been upgraded at some stage. Believe also that the automated flap is not found on many cars."

Why did you get rid of it mate? Will you be going for a 370z next

I would have to agree with Sarnie, the advert needs working on, maybe if you amended/deleted all the negatives could help imho......

This is coming from a person who advertised his roadster for a week saying "electrical this and that"....= no responce...........THEN amamded advert to read full specification and hey presto the phone starts ringing and i have now sold it

Just got back from Birmingham after selling my car to a dealership, well impreesed with the

price they gave me for it ........it is me or has the the market picked up, i wish i had put it up for £21,000 now .

Missing it like mad now though, keep looking for it on the drive and hoping it re-appears for some crazy reason, my daughter cried for about an hour after i had gone to sell it. i suppose i'll have to wait til the new year now for that V6 hummm

I might be a little bit paranoid but i have had no interest from anyone about my roadster which i have advertised on Piston heads and on here aswell, i know my advert is basic and not very descriptive, so my question is do i have anything to worry about or is this normal? or have i overpriced my car?, on here i'm asking for £19,000 and on piston heads £19,495.

Webuyanycar.com are offering me £18,295 at which point they will whack on atleast a couple of grand and sell it on.

Time to sell my roadster as some of you already know i've ordered a 370 which is due in Jan,

therefor need to sell my current car, i'm not got to bore you with the technical stuff, i suppose anyone interested in buying a 350z will have already have done their homework.

Its a 08 Registered in March, still has 18 months of warranty remaining

i'm the second owner

Looking for around £19,000

Milage is 8,800

As the title says i'm after some information on the best place to advertise my car(Autotrader/PistonHeads), currently i've got Autodetox detailing it so i should have some piccies later today and would like to advertise it tomorrow, any help would be appreciated.

I'm selling up to make way for the 370 i've ordered in the new year.

The Daihatsu Charade GTtI is a quick little car. It's a 1.0 Turbo but very light and very potent with a bit of tuning.

 

There are a lot of quick cars out there that could embarrass the Zed easily so beware!

Yeah Stew tell me about it, i came across a cavalier(Vauxhall) 'T' Plate on a duel carriage way and i could not for love nor money get away from it (we reached 110 and i gave up), me thinks it had a nitro kit or something, the funny thing was it was absolutely standard looking on the outside not even go faster stripes...

Yes, most detaillers will do it at your location. There are lots about, dont know anyone in your specific area though. Sure someone will be along with a recommendation or check out http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/

i managed to get someone to come around next weekend and give my zed a bath/scrub, then i'll be able to advertise it in piston heads to make way for the 370

There is no chance of getting to 320 with what you would have bolted on. Paul at rs tuning was surprised to see over the 300 mark
