  1. Hi all,

I'm new to the site and just need a helping hand finding the right zed, I noticed this zed on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0279922212

Seems like a bargain to me? GT kit, low mileage and low price??

Any help would be much appreciated, or anyone selling on here similar spec/price please, thanks.. :)

I spent around 3 months looking for mine, if I hadnt have bought mine (same colour and spec) now, I would have considered going to see this one for sure.

mine does have 1/2 the mileage but if its tidy.......

Get it HPI/VIN checked to make sure no CAT D or finance if buying private just for piece of mind.

Best colour and Rays alloys too  ask for some pics to see if they are kurbed, and good luck

  2. U guys are older, imagine how badly people hate when a 23 year old (me) jumps out :x

luv it but hate it at same time :p

God I hate you already ;) ha ha only kidding, good on you!

London with a 350Z your insurance must be stupid money!

Saying that when I was 25 I was paying £1000 for an FTO Mivec V6

the red one pictured yours? looking sweet B)

  3. Hi,

I have bought myself a second hand 350Z (UK 04) and have read that it is important to fill it using high octane fuel. Is this true? What are the consequenced of ignoring this advice other than having a wallet with more in it!

As a new owner is there any other information that I should be aware of?

    Thanks for your help

    J

I ran a Prodrive Scooby for 3 years, on the fuel cap it said 98ron, but I read the engines ECU is intelligent enough to handle both (from various forums)..... I did see on a rolling road up to 20bhp difference with a higher Ron fuel and it was noticeable when driving too!

However the FTO did not like mixing tanks or changing fuel at all as the ECU from 1995 used to stall the car at low revs until it recalibrated itself (took about 20miles from my experience)

  4. Of course, i would put the higher RON stuff in my cars if I saw the benefit. In the 90 litre G tank, at most stations the super stuff worked out to about £10 a tank extra. And considering a tank would last about 150 miles irrespective of the fuel, i decided to spend the £10 a week elsewhere! :D

:scare: is there a hole in your tank? That’s mental!!! Wouldn’t have thought a man running a G would worry about £10, but I suppose every penny counts and that’s why you have one :D

  5. Welcome...

I used to drive a Scooby, got rid as like you said its become way to "Chavy!"!

Only thing I really really miss about my scooby was the wet launch all wheel drive! The 350 is nightmare when its wet and you have a the traction control off and give it large... unless you are trying to drift then its a blast as no corner is to small or too big

very true...... it was a car that never really tried to kill you :yahoo:

what did you have? mine was a Prodrive WRX 270bhp and used to stick to the road like a sticky thing covered in extra sticky stuff on a sticky day.

Not palyed too much with the traction control button on the ZED yet, gonna get used to driving it.........then have a dabble.

  6. I have a couple of guys at work say similar things, and they drive diesel Astras. I can only aspire to hit such heights......

Ha ha that's what the missus drives........ when she can't talk me into letting the keys out my hands

  7. A colleague at work saw I had a new 350Z in the car park at work and sent me a picture, he said it was a modified 350Z!!!

He's the same A'hole who said it was a Ginger Hairdressers car only driven by girls!!

I could only comment that his Ford Focus must put a huge smile on his face every day he drives to work, I would be happy to know the most exciting thing about my motor was the isofix child seat system!

(no offence to the 350 owners who also have a Ford Focus ;) as a 2nd car)

Sad day for the driver of the one attached though! Maybe then I would cry like a girl! :byebye:

Yeah, funny that Jealousy thing - my Finance Director told me mine was a hairdressers / girls car the other day - I argued for a while, and thought whats the point - im talking to someone who drives a diesel 5 series

Exactly!! I bloody love the car, just been out for a quick spin in the sun :teeth: ..... when I had the Prodrive Scooby everyone said it was chavy and it looked like it had crashed into Halfords..........(which is true :D ) but seems sometimes people don't have anything good to say, so should just keep stum!!

  9. Hi everyone,

I have read some other links re Tonneau covers but does anyone know where I can get an original KE964-CD000 at a discount? and also where I can get a cargo net which will do the job, as sure the original Nissan one sells at a premium? :scare:

Loving my 350Z by the way had it about 3 weeks now...... didnt get out in it at the weekend 'gutted'!! had to drive a more sensible car with 3 passengers........... for some reason they weren't willing to climb in the boot of the 350! I explained it 'apparently' fits 2 golf bags :D

    Anyways any help appreciated,

    thanks

  10. :welcome:

You wont get pulled by the boys in blue so much as they dont tend to know what it is! And as you say its stylish so they dont think its a chav mobile which is their normal target.

    Hope you enjoy it :drive1

Saying that though I had a body kitted FTO years ago and used to get pulled all the time as the 'boys in blue' wanted to look it over, see what it was :)

  11. :):):)

Hi everyone, just collected a 2004 GT a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loving it........ its good to have some class after selling my Scooby Impreza WRX Prodrive (which as much as I really enjoyed owning and driving it, is a different kind of beast and CHAVY even if I say so myself!!)

You dont seem to get as many Corsa's or Fiesta's trying to drive up your pipes, or coppers pulling me over for no reason!

Loving the 350 anyway and just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you all I havent stopped :D:D:D

    Cheers Larsdowg
