  1. I've got an old review from when the 350z first came out - the car was given rave reviews by the team that reviewed it who affectionately referred to it as 'the ginger tickler' due to the vibrating gear knob.

  2. This is always my worry - Insurers will use anything to wriggle out of a claim. Do those people that make subtle mods (plenum spacer, airbox, de-cat, different exhaust then declare these to the insurers - if so it would be interesting to find out if the premium goes up.

  3. Not sure if this is true or not - I was tlaking to a friend of mine who is a real alfa nut. He told me that the paint tends to be thinner on these compared to other cars and he used to have a nightmare with stone chips. He had one of these permanent outer coats put on (I think they are PTFE?) and had very few problems after this. Also, my next door neighbour just bought a new Quashqi and had it dones as she parks under a tree and get covered in sap bits - she swears by it.

For a rep mobile I wouldn't bother but for something a bit more sleek that you want to keep chip free, might be something worth thinking about? I've never had it done myself but would be interested to hear if anyone has had this done to their 350 and if it has made any difference.

  4. I'd be interested in this too as I'm on the area. I've used Nissan Reading for a service and they were ok - didn't thrill me with customer service though. For my non-nissan cars there are a couple of reasonable garages in the Camberley area {camberley MOT} - never had to take my Nissan there but would trust them with a job like this and their price is quite reasonable.

I {thought} I had a major problem with my prelude, turned out to be a clutch which they did for me at a reasonable price and talked through a couple of other small things with some sensible advice.

  5. I went through all this before I bought mine - honestly don't think about it too hard. You arrive at work smiling and you arrive home from work smiling - it is priceless! ;)

But for the record -the above figures sound right, I get about 25mpg with a mix of driving/roads. Mine is a March 06 so is £245 to tax, post march '06 I think you are lookin at over £400. Make sure you know what the usual 350 niggles are and if you want peace of mind get the car checked out before you buy it. As its a Nissan not much should go wrong.

I just so happen to know where you can get a march 06 mint car for £13,800

  6. I had a few minor scratches on mine (bushes, country lane) I took it to a bodyshop and they suggested a mop and polish. Did the whole car and now it is gleaming. Not sure how deep these are but it is always worth dropping by a local one (look inyell.co.uk) and talking it thorugh with them, you can usually find someone on the shop floor that is helpful.

  7. I think this is a lot of car for the money. Looks good and does a good MPG - I seriously considered getting one of these a while back. Only reason I didn't was I felt it had a really restricted all round view - small price to pay for a car that looks that nice though.

  8. Wow- -these really transform the car. Did you have to sell a kidney to get these or were they a reasonable price...am wondering what they would look like on a black car :-)

  9. OK I have to agree. Better video, better host. She's like the Nigella Lawson of car journalism. :)

I expected the Z to be faster but not obliterate the 4wd 3.2 TT like that!
