  1. Taken a deposit on my 370z so selling my Injen CAI's. In as new condition, only been fitted to the car for 6 weeks. As with any Injen products the quality is amazing, fitment is superb (fits 370s of Infiniti - not sure which models!). Only takes 10 mins per side to fit. End results are AWESOME, the noise they produce is immense. Just fitted the old airboxes and popped out in the car - boring!!! Lol! I have the fitting instructions somewhere but even I didn’t need them!

After £250 plus postage for them. I have the instructions but unfortunately the box was too big to flat pack in my suitcase so left it in the states!

    Few pics:

  2. Very true, not everyone is fan of them, I think you'd be mad to want to wrap a ferrari! If like me though and changes cars like the weather wrapping it often makes it like a 'new car/new colour'. My last car had 3 colour changes! Some vinyl is @*!# quality as well, hence probably the fuzziness, the dearer vinyl is a lot different and better quality.

I've had friends asking me if i'm going to wrap this one at anytime, them not realising it was already wrapped!

  3. Problem with it is people like to touch it to see what matt vinyl feels like.... hence the light scratches.

I remember I was wrapping a customers Ford Puma matt white, he was touching it soon after I had applied it and he left his greasy finger prints all over it, they wouldnt come off!!

Due to being offered a superb investment abroad I am having to selling my 370Z Roadster, it’s a beautiful car and will be missed! It is absolutely immaculate in every way. It was vinyl wrapped a few months and I have pictures of the process from start to finish. Paintwork is unmarked underneath so no hidden surprises or scratches etc if you choose to remove it (purely had it wrapped as I couldn’t find a white one when buying one). It was last serviced 7 months ago and had its first MOT about 3 months ago. When buying I did my homework and called the dealership it was originally purchased from, plus confirmed the services were as the book stated, all is 100% accurate!

I have a pair of 1 month old Injen CAI's fitted to the car which will remain if someone from the forum buys it! Makes an incredible sound when accelerating! I do have the standard airboxes which I will include also.

I have all paperwork and manuals, 2 sets of keys (batteries recently replaced in both). Tax runs out end of August so will add 6 months tax if asking price is paid.

I will be taking it to my local Nissan dealership for an inspection this week to confirm that all is perfect for the new owner.

Please no timewasters, silly offers and no test drives unless valid driving licence and insurance is shown prior.

    Now £17,995!

    Thanks

  5. I've never had to 'treat' any of the wraps I have done, purely wash it as per any other car. Beauty of it is it doesnt need polishing! I've used 3M, Arlon and Hexis vinyls in the past and tbh Hexis was the leasst durable of the 3. I found it marked quite easily. You could try isopropyl to get rid of marks on the vinyl, if it is matt vinyl dont even bother trying!!

  6. You may be in for a shock, did someone not post that Nissan have dropped the price of base model 370Z to £21k brand new????

I know the roadster is dearer but I just sold my coupe 370Z, 61 plate all optional extras for a lot lower than your looking at. I had it on autotrader for 3 weeks for £19k and never had a single phone call....

But maybe the current weather will help you get the price you want

I did read that and @*!# meself but turns out its not true, they are still £26k or so it seems! Wont be long until they do start dropping though. I’ll probably put it up for £18/18.5k and see what bites I get, I can’t find a roadster for that low anywhere for sale (that isn’t hpi clear!) so hopefully someone will be interested, gutted ive got to do it but I’ve wanted this property in the US for some time now and its going up for sale J

  7. Sorry just seen the conversation above re: wrapping! Cost wise at the moment the 3M vinyl is currently £18.99 for matt vinyl (per linear metre - 1524mm wide), £20.00 for gloss and £36.49 for carbon / aluminium etc.... all plus vat!

Roof wise I normally charge £40 / £50 labour plus the cost of vinyl, normally 2 metres max with some leftover. Have a Focus ST to do tonight and a slammed VW Polo Saturday, joy!

With the interior wrapping and it not sticking, all depends on prep to be honest and the material you are sticking to. I have found the wiping the areas around with isopropyl before sticking is a massive help. If the edges start to come up there is a pen stick you can buy from sign suppliers which is like a glue that sticks them down without damaging surfaces. Carbon is trickier to keep the edges down as it is a lot thicker.

With mirror baseplates the plasticy ones can be an arse as they are bobbly, I would probably be inclined to rub them down and primer them smooth first to get a perfect finish!

    Cheers

    Chris
