Cheers for the welcome everyone, nice friendly board you got here. Why would anyone take a VW Passat to a Nissan main dealer to get a water pump changed? I'm not surprised they made mistakes - maybe he should take it to a VW shop next time?

Ah interesting! Well the story was that I saw a black coupe in the dealer in Reading and he told me Nissan had some limited stock in the UK. They were all Ebisu Black, with GT4 wheels, Alezian leather, satnav, basically they threw everything on them. The wheels, leather and satnav were effectively free, so you got a few K's goodies for nothing. But I really wanted a roadster so left it at that. Then I was talking to my local dealer in Basingstoke about getting a blue roadster. They had a blue 313 coupe in the group that was 1 year old, 5K miles, for 26K. Then I mentioned about the coupe up in Reading I saw and he made some calls and found Nissan UK had 1 roadster in stock, again Ebisu Black with GT4 wheels and all the toys. Total price was just shy of 31K (I added parking sensors and the floor mats). So as I wanted the 313 engine, and that limited me to cars up to 1 year old, I just thought "bugger it" and put down my deposit last week, picked it up yesterday, none of this hanging around for 6 months while they made it! I've got the last one apparently, no more roadsters in stock now.

Oh man that sucks! All through this deal I have been disappointed by the lack of information available from Nissan UK, the dealer seemed in the dark about quite a bit. I was initially told my car would come with 19" wheels but they turned out to be 18's (they're not Rays but some special's they used for a limited run). And no-one could show me a picture of the entry guards, not even on the Nissan web site (which is crap for checking out the options). I found them on a 3rd party site in the end. Ah well, I have a feeling the handsfree kit would be next to useless in a roadster anyway. I'll have to get myself a headset or Parrot (the missus has got a Parrot and it works pretty well). Hi guys, I picked up my brand new 2008 350Z Roadster yesterday. In discussions with the dealer he led me to believe it came with the bluetooth phone kit, and their 313 demonstrator (a coupe) had one which he demonstrated. So I'm a bit disappointed to find that mine doesn't have bluetooth. There's no cradle in the centre console arm rest, no voice/phone button on the steering wheel, and the satnav doesn't have the phone option in settings either. I spoke to the dealer this morning and he thinks Nissan have changed the spec on the roadster so it's not included but he can't check until Monday. I'm really disappointed as my old 10 year BMW I traded in had an ancient phone system, but I used it all the time. I'll be using the Z for business trips so it's crucial I have a hands free capability. The dealer has said he'll provide a decent bluetooth headset for me if this is an issue, and I guess I'll get better call quality when the roof is down (I won't be able to hear them otherwise!), but, I dunno, I've just spent 31K and it's taken the edge of it, you know what I mean? Does anyone know if the 08 model roadster is supposed to come with the phone kit fitted? Cheers, Paul

Hi everyone, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm the president of GTOUK, the Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT owner's club. I've sold my GTO now (had one or the other for 10 years) and picked up my brand new 2008 model 350Z Roadster yesterday! The guys will probably kick me out now, we'll see! :-) I'm waiting for the weather to clear up then I'll take some decent photo's and get that roof down hopefully!
