Is there an ignition live in the engine bay?

I'm wiring in some DRLs but need to tap into an ignition live. I've tried the fuse box by the battery but they all are permanent. Is the only place to feed a wire through from behind the stereo?

I wired mine into the wire on the back of the plenum .......

Thanks, is that the wire that plugs into the little socket at the back of the engine? The one with 2 wires going into it?

Look right at the back of the plenum ........ its at the back and slightly above the plenum .... I think its to do with the fuel ???? it becomes live when ignition is switched on .. hope this helps ...

I got a unit from ebay that flashs the drls with locking thecar

Cheers, I just did it and it works. Did you tap into the sidelight wire behind the bulb fixture?
