Interior lights loose connection?

Discovered the other evening that my interior lights were not working at all. So last night I decided I would have a fiddle around to see if I could fix it or work out what the issue was. Checked the fuses down in the foot well and all looked ok so I decided to remove the interior lighting box.

Once removed pushed on a few wires, connections and then stuck it back in place to test it. To my amazement the right hand light came on and functioned perfectly. So I repeated the process and then the left hand light started working perfectly but at the expense of the right hand one (now not functioning at all ).

Odd, so I repeated the process again and pushed the lighting back into place and this time both lights worked perfectly. Great I thought, at least they do work and it must be a lose connection. Took the car out for a spin and came home and all the lights were working fine. Get in the car this morning and now only the left one works again haha. So it seems like a lose wire connection or something like that, question is where and how can I track it down. Has anyone experienced this or could help shed some light on the problem? Many thanks
