Should I upgrade my alarm?

Hi all

 

Where I live a corsa Vxr was stolen and the next evening another car window was smashed and contents in car stolen both over night last week

 

These cars are parked in a car park where my zed would usually be ! (It's currently in a garage due back in a couple of weeks.)

 

When I get my car back and it will be looking more erm... Desireable perhaps- I am now scared something will happen to my car in my car park :-(

 

I have a 2004 Jdm roadster . I don't know how good the alarm on it is ?

 

I used to have the toad a1606 pager alarm on previous cars and am tempted to put something similar on the zed.

 

I like the fact the car pages you, though I would rather an alarm system that texts or calls me- as the pager range is just 2000ft. (I assume the range to text / call a phone is better ????)

 

Does anyone have any recommendations ? Great alarms ? I am installing a blackvue camera but that's more for road incidents !

 

Should I bother upgrading the alarm? I think Viper and Clifford are the best?? I was told they are the same thing?

 

I don't think I want a tracker - if it's gone I may not want it back stripped but anything I can do to deter thieves - suggestions welcome
