theminiking Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 Having destroyed my 04 non revup engine I'm on the hunt for a replacement. I've been offered a good low mileage engine from an 05 Gran Turismo which I understand is a revup engine. Can anyone confirm for me what additional parts I would need to do a swap from a non revup to a revup? I'm guessing it'll be complete engine, loom and ecu. Can I replace the chip in the key for the one that matches the new ecu to get the immobiliser to work or will I need the complete ignition barrel? Is there anything else I'm missing? I've tried searching and I've found lots of threads with people that can't get the engine running after the swap but none say how they solved their problems? Any help would be appreciated?
