Engine Oil Coolers and Insurance

Anyone have one fitted to their 370z? I'm thinking of installing one but my insurers (Admiral) haven't a clue what it is. No it's not an "intercooler" or "charge cooler"... I made the guy on the other end of the phone cry and then he wanted to list it as an interior modification.

The insurer you are with cater for mods but do struggle with some. They are set up predominantly set up for standard UK car insurance so it is understandable that their call centre staff may not recognise some modifications.

 

You do need to get it recorded correctly and confirmed back in writing.

 

Try a specialist insurer perhaps?
