P1111 P1136 Intake valve solenoid

Hey all,

so i have the above fault codes and i've nearly solved the problem (i hope). I've tested all my wiring from the solenoid (bank 1 and 2) and everything is fine.

 

So i need new solenoid (dont worry i've pm'd the usual suspects and will be getting one) but before i do that i thought i'd take it out and have a look at it, basicly my question is can just undo the solenoid/housing or do i have to take the timing chain cover off as well?
