Rear strut bar Z badge

I've finally got round to dismantling the trim on the rear strut bar. I'd like to say it's taken this long because I'm such a busy international playboy but it's really because I'm just plain lazy

 

Anyhoo, looking at the Z badge fitted on the silver section it looks like it's superglued on. I can probably paint it properly without removing the Z but it'll be a damn sight easier if I can get it off first. My first thought is to cut the 5 glued points out from the back with a modelling knife but does anyone have any handy tricks of the trade before I do my samurai impression on it?
