handles / powder coating?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting my door handles powdercoated gunmetal and laquered , to match my newly refurbed Rays. The guy has said that it can cause problems as its actually thicker than standard paint and clearences can close up. Has anyone done something similar to their handles? and has it been ok? Cheers.

ive had mine 2 pack blacked n laquered n look great n there is no reason they shouldnt hold up to wear n tear.
