H5
lol - cheers. That'd explain the problem! As in which bit of plastic are they under?!
Winged Rodent
Z doesn't have HT leads as such: It has individual coils over each spark-plug, so just 'ordinary' wiring between the ECU and each coil/plug.
Liam's Z
HT = High Tension
H5
I know what they are, what they're called etc. I was wanting to take them out last night after my burglary. Didn't think it had any leads but wasn't sure what the replacement would be. Anyone got any pics?
M13KYF
You could always take the battery out H5 seeing as we are having trouble finding or prooving that Zs have HT leads
lomoto
If you want to immobilise it , just whip out the fuse to the starter motor
M13KYF
would you still be able to bump start it?
lomoto
would you still be able to bump start it? Yes but I dont think they would be thinking that quick if a car didnt start straight on the button , I'd be thinking it had a covert immobiliser fitted and go and find an easier target
H5
Was thinking about the battery but then thought if I did that it might intefer with the alarm and immobiliser? Fuse isn't a bad idea, even if it's for the lights, no-one drives at 3 in the morning with no lights on unless they're doing wrong!! It's disappearing for a few days now anyway....... Liam's Z
Sorry but am I missing something??? Without the keys I'm pretty sure there gonna struggle hot-wiring it.... Thought this NAT system was meant to be good???
H5
I think it's called paranoia Liam. They've got keys to one of my cars, and might be uber determined to get it. So wanted to stop any chance of it getting away, and using a Zed as the barrier to it made me want to go overkill on making sure that couldn't be moved.....
