Oil Pressure Gauge

I guess this has been covered before - I've had a search though without joy!! maybe it's my computer??

 

Regarding the oil gauge on the dashboard. What should healthy levels be/. I know the manual says the higher the revs the higher the pressure but can anyone elaborate on that? Mine tends to be over the halfway mark if I'm going relatively high speeds, and around the quarter for low speeds - should this be right?
