Window trouble

I know there has been window trouble threads before, but I am really struggling with a decision on what to do.

My passenger window isn't working, it's stuck a cm from the top so it's not going to smash when I shut the door. You can here a clicking as you press the window switch but the window doesn't move. Do I risk it and take it to the dealer to fix or them to tell me it's the motor and rob me of my money or is it a fairly easy job to take the door card off to identify the problem?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
