BOSE Sub Replacement in rear cubby?

just out on interset how big is it back there im sure ive seen a photo. that made it look rather large.

if it is small say less than half a cube +1 on a decnt 8" and give it amps

 

Its not just the size of sub its the sub spec, e.g. an idmax10" or old school solobaric 10" will need less room then a DD9512 which can use up to 4cuft. Best thing to do is check minium and recomended sealed enclosure size when buying a sub, Also remember when chosing your enclosure its before sub displacement.

 

One trick which im not sure you can use on a sealed but works well on a ported enclosure is wadding. It slows the air down making the sub think its in a bigger box but you lose 3db off the peak.

works sealed too . if your already working a set space then defiantly going to be choosing sub around your volume .

being only 6 ers they need just .3 cubes for the pair ported !

I haven't heard them but i dont think they will be too good as the new boxster uses something like them and its sounds rubbish.
