Standard NAV Screen

I have a UK spec car with the REMOTE CONTROLLLED sat nav, instead of the one with the controls underneath the screen.

 

Either way round, i think the whole system would work so much better as touch screen. Does anyone know if that is possible? (obviously replacing screen etc)

 

If not. What is the best sized touch screen to fit in the top hole? and will I be able to feed an Audio input into the standard bose tape/cd/radio headunit?
