funkymofo Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Hi guys, My Z has been crunching into 6th gear since I got it, I have got used to it and can avoid the problem by letting the revs drop off before selecting 6th. Obviously this is not ideal so I would like to get it fixed. I know a few people have had it done under warranty, but mine is sadly out of warranty (and it was a private sale ) How much am I looking at for it to be fixed? I would most likely not use Nissan but an independant specialist (I find them cheaper and infinately better!) Is it likely to cause further damage if left as it is? Quote

Is an option I suppose, would have to pretty unlucky to get another one with the same problem I suppose! yep a complete gearbox, I'm sure I saw one on Ebay a few weeks ago for only a couple of hundred quid , a few hours labour at the garage and you'll have a cheap repair Quote
