hey, i have a jap spec zed, 2003 plate, and have changed the syncros twice now!!

 

so basically ive had enough, im looking for a newwer gearbox from the breakers

 

but just curious

 

 

 

was the problem with the syncros actually fixed in the later 2005+ gearboxes??

 

as i dotn want to splash out if they have exactly the same problem! i keep losing my 3rd gear syncro

hi mine is a 03 import its putting over 700bhp with no gearbox problem you must be unlucky

There does seem to be few if any gearboxes from 05 onwards that have had the syncro issue. If you went for the latest you could find you should be alright.
