370z steering lock after pulling fuse

I’ve got a 2010 model and had the common steering lock issue. I found out that if you hit the box and get it into ACC mode and then pull the fuse it will stop it happening again.

 

I've since pulled the fuse and got it working and drove home...and today I’ve gone to start the car and it’s still showing the same problem? Surely if the fuse has been pulled it can’t operate?
