JonBurton Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) New to owning a 350z. i have a 53plated GT, when i bought the car last week it did not make this noise, just started yesterday and is getting louder! When driving and going to change gear so clutch is fully depressed it rattles a lot louder than the common 350z clutch chatter noises i have researched, it also rattles (sounds like rocks being ground) when driving in gear although less noticeable over the loud exhausts...it does not rattle on idle with or without clutch pedal being depressed. Any suggestions, i just want peace of mind! Thanks Jon. Edit: Goes away when the car has been driving for 35mins or so.. Edited June 14, 2016 by JonBurton Quote
JonBurton Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Sounds like that ^^^ only doesn't occur on idle.... Quote
Hodaka Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Please take this with a big pinch of salt as I'm not really mechanically minded, but could it be the pilot bearing? http://www.freeasestudyguides.com/manual-transmission-pilot-bearing.html Quote
